I bought this dock for $170 from Amazon in "Acceptable" Condition and it basically came in virtually "Like New" condition which was fantastic. For the price I attained this at, this was great. Practically, this works fantastic and had exactly the number of ports I needed. I am literally using every single port opening on the rear for my setup. I have this connected to Dual PC Monitors & my Office TV (3 Screens in total). You can connect up to 4 screens if you want. The rear of the dock has 4 USB-A Ports, 2 HDMI, 2 DP, and 1 USB-C 3.2 Gen Port. The front of the dock contains 2 USB-A ports, 1 USB-C TB Four Port for the Laptop, 1 SD Card Reader, 1 MicroSD Card Reader, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It is plug and play out of the box as long as you have a Thunderbolt 4 equipped device but if you want extra functionality, it works with the Kensington DockWorks Software which allows you to switch off the auto-on that toggles between Ethernet and Wi-Fi which comes in hand in certain situations. You can download that from Kensington's Website for fee. Aesthetically it looks really sleek and it would go especially well with any gun metal/space gray color. I have it tugged away between my office phone and printer and it doesn't look out of place. I'm currently using it with my new 2024 Samsung GalaxyBook4 Pro 14 inch laptop and I'm happy with this purchase!

Even when only a the laptop plugged into the device and nothing else, I get a warning message saying that the laptop is connected to low power charger, may be a firmware issue, unit appears to work correctly. Using a Dell laptop.

The dock works well and connects all my peripherals, providing high speed network connectivity to my 2023 16 inch M3 Macbook Pro. At first the LAN port didn't work ("USB 10/100/1000 LAN" showed as Not connected"). I contacted Kensington support via their chat support page and got connected instantly with an agent. They provided the following instructions: 1) Disconnect everything 2) Plug the power cord into the dock 3) Connect the laptop to the Doc using the USB-C / Thunderbolt cable to the front of the dock 4) Connect the external monitor to the dock 5) Connect all the peripherals (I connected the USB peripherals, then the LAN port) After that a new device appeared under Settings -> Network: "USB 10/100/1G/2.5G LAN" and showed as Connected. The agent said that this was a one-time procedure and everything should just work on reboot and when reconnecting the USB-C cable. Hope this helps anyone else that has LAN issues.

I use the 5800T to reduce cable clutter between my tower (Corsair 1000d case) on the floor, and my motorized desk. I connect over USB4, since it’s an AMD X870e system (AMD processors do not natively support Thunderbolt). I had a lot of initial connection issues…it would connect/disconnect every few seconds. I discovered that active TB cables were the problem, as it started working properly after switching to a passive cable. I suspect that the docks PD output is interfering with the Desktops PD over the active cables. Perhaps Kensington could add an option to disable Power Delivery from the docks host port? Or maybe there is something else happening when the connection is negotiated? I had the same issue with the Caldigit TS4, though. I use most of the USB ports and Ethernet through the dock, and have zero issues now. I do not use the video ports, and cannot comment on their function.
