I'm using these instead of glass in some cabinets I built, since I'm not confident in my ability to cut glass in the exact dimensions I required. Cutting these panels on a table saw with an 80 tooth carbide blade was simple and accurate, cutting with no melting and only very minimal chipping. Removing the protective paper was easy, but keep in mind that a lot of static electricity is generated when peeling back the paper, so do it in a dust-free area. The panels I received were in perfect condition, and had no defects or distortions at all. Clarity is the same as glass, or maybe even a little better. While the full 24x36 sheets had about 1/8" of defection when supported only by 2 edges, the 12x18 pieces I cut were nearly as rigid as 1/8" glass, and worked perfectly for mounting vertically in my cabinets. Review: Very white! - I'm a product photographer and use variety of backgrounds and surfaces depending on the type and needed something that will reflect some shadows while keeping the overall surface as white as possible. The backing isn't hard to take off as long as you take a heat gun to it gently and peel it. You can tell when the adhesive is starting to loosen but if you do it this way, be careful not to overheat and melt the plastic by moving the heat gun around constantly. A cheap $20 heat gun on desertcart works more than enough and this is how I always took off any protective layers. Otherwise, you will struggle to peel this off unless you can bake this in a hot sun. A hair dryer may work but I've not tried it. This sheet is nice and thick, came without any scratches. The size is perfect for my use as well. The color is also VERY white. Whiter than some of the arctic white background I've used so this is a nice reference for my camera as well. It cut very cleanly on my CO2 laser and did not disappoint!!! The acrylic was sturdy and it was very shiny. It came out beautiful! The pictures don't capture how great these came out. I washed them in warm soapy water before putting them on the cake. The birthday girl loved it so much she asked me to cut her the word "birthday" so she could use it over and over again.
