Love the windows. Makes it really cool to watch the inside of the hive. The entire box is lined with wax which protected it for its first couple years outside. Held up pretty well. Once the wax wore off, I stained it. I now use it for my second hive. Worth the money.

Excellent quality. I was very impressed with my purchase. The assembly was very simple and its smells so good lol! Can’t wait to start our honey harvest!

First hive that I have set up. Everything went together well. Seems to be very good quality for a good price. I set up in my field and installed a package of bees. So far, everything is going well. Looking forward to watching the hive grow and develop.

Love!I’ve ordered 3 kits.Arrived very very fast via FedEx.Very nice looking when assembled.Better quality than any wooden hives I’ve purchased to date.Even the frame parts seem to be made out of better quality wood than frames I’ve purchased at expensive beekeeping supply shops. Screws for assembly are good quality and treated with something for longevity (I verified this with my Uncle Todd who knows these things).Excellent value. One piece arrived damaged (thin lip of wood cracked in shipping) and they rectified pronto. I’ve recommended these to all my beekeeper friends.They really are the best value & high quality.

Good quality bee hive, window is easy to work with and very simple to assemble.Parts are dipped in bees wax as advertised. Delivery was as promised and I would buy again from Honey lake.

Quality is good, but there was a broken section on the medium box. I was able to save it but quality control is definitely lacking. No chips or cracks other than the one shown. Wax coating is thicker in some spots than others but given I'm in Arizona I'll paint this because the wax coating won't last in our summer heat. I'd buy again because the price is better than most. Took me about 30-40 minutes to assemble the boxes. I appreciate that the frames came with this set, all the pieces are there and well built. I haven't assembled the frames yet. I like the reducer and flat roof with the reflective top.

We have purchased this hive several times and have given out ordering information to other beekeepers. It goes together smoothly. The viewing panel is a feature we weren’t sure we needed, but we really enjoy. When one of the packages was damaged in transit, the seller was quick to remedy the issue. After a year in service, our first one still looks great!

Bought this as my primary hive. Added a 2nd deep by the same manufacturer. So far, so good. Everything went together well. Its sturdy and durable. Comes with all the hardware required. The pieces are all cut well & they fit snuggly. No need to paint this particular model as its beeswax dipped. Just a good all around hive for a beginner like me or a veteran beekeeper.
