Dark Brown Hair Gloss Color-Depositing Treatment for Gray Coverage | Subtle & Buildable Treatment – Gradual, Semi Permanent Hair Color – Sulfate-Free, Ammonia-Free – 31 Botanical Extracts

I have grey, frizzy hair at my temples, and a streak of grey on each side. I like my own hair color, I just wanted the grey out. But every time I asked hairdressers about just covering the grey parts of my hair, they all said it couldn't be done. After a terrible experience with highlights to cover the grey areas where I ended up looking ridiculously blonde, I decided to forget about it. I've tried henna before and I didn't like the look. When I saw this, I figured I'd give it a try, and I'm so glad I did. This has a creamy, mousse-like texture. It stains rather than dyes your hair, so it does wash out. This is actually perfect for me, since I only have a small amount of hair I want to color. The first time I tried it, it didn't seem to take, but I reapplied and left it on for an hour, and then - surprise! No more grey temples. I think the trick is to definitely leave it on for a long time the first time you try it, and it has to be applied to clean, dry hair - meaning no products, no hairspray, no added oils, etc. - and then rinsed, rather than washed, out. Now, I generally apply it once a week, although I could definitely go longer. I apply it about 15-20 minutes before I shower, using the brush they supply, making sure it covers all of the affected hair, and combing it through. It goes on easily, and any stuff that gets on your hands or face comes off fairly easily as well. After I apply, I put a plastic shower cap over my head, which works to add a bit of heat, making the stain adhere better. I also use a hairdryer for a few minutes to heat up the stain. Then I wash and condition my hair as normal. The color blends in perfectly with my natural hair color; nobody can tell I've done anything, except that the grey is gone. I definitely don't mind spending an extra 15-20 minutes once a week to avoid salon time and cost. If you've got grey temples or streaks that you want to cover up, this is totally worth a try.

I tried this product twice, following all directions. It gave my medium brown color treated hair a purpleish cast and turned my gray roots a greenish color. The results were even worse with the second application than with the first. It also made my head itch.

Pros: (1) Highly desirable soft gel consistency so it doesn't run or appear too wet while you leave the product on for a long time. (2) The product contains oil based ingredient so it leaves your hair feeling smooth and not dry Con: In short, it does not cover the grey in the root area well. Really need to rub the color into the roots. I left it on for 12 hours, twice in consecutive applications, and it lessened appearance of the grey color but not covered it towards the roots. It might be best to leave it on until the next wash and not rinse it out after application.

I am really pleased with this. I don't have much gray hair - maybe 5%? - but the grays are all clustered on the most visible parts of my head - temples/hairline. I had been wanting to dye my hair for a while but refused to use use a conventional toxic dye. I love that this is non-toxic (that was a must for me) and wouldn't you know, it actually works! I did not use it on my whole head, just the gray parts, and it covered the gray wonderfully. The dark brown is a very good match for my natural hair color. The first time I used it I tested it on a small chunk of hair just to make sure nothing freaky happened. I left it in for about 15 minutes and then rinsed it out and blow dried. It blended the grays a bit but not enough so next time I left it in for a whole hour and had great results. I've used it a couple more times since and am about to order my 2nd tube. Love that it has absolutely NO smell and my hair actually feels nicely conditioned after using. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because 1) the coverage doesn't last long - if I really kept up with it I would need to apply every 1.5 weeks and that is with shampooing my hair maybe one time during that stretch (I have curly/thick/dry hair that doesn't get greasy so I rarely shampoo). 2) Despite only using this on a small portion of my hair this goes quickly. If I were to use it on my entire head I would go through the whole tube in one treatment. I wouldn't be able to afford to do that every week or 2. All in all, I am pumped I found this product and hope it is available forever and ever!

It really works! I used this to kickstart my color deposit that I plan to maintain with the color-depositing shampoo. Prep and process is important - I used a chelating rinse/clarifying shampoo for hard water deposits first, then applied the treatment in sections around my whole head. I have shoulder length hair, medium fine hair, and used 80% of the bottle and probably could have used more. Once applied, I covered in an insulating shower cap for warmth and left on for a full hour. It deposited a nice rich color on my dark hair and nicely blended the grays into a brown tint. I'm very pleased with the results and can't wait to see how it gets darker over time.

This is the worst hair dye I've ever used. I tried dyeing my hair according to the instructions for three consecutive weeks, even leaving it on for two hours each time, but it still didn't work. Although it's made from natural ingredients, it simply doesn't color the hair. It's terrible and a complete waste of time. I wouldn't recommend it.

I have a very sensitive scalp. This is a great hair conditioner and extremely mild color treatment. Only for dark hair.

I’m probably 80% gray and was looking for a medium-dark brown solution to get me through weeks 2–5 until my next root touch-up. I read tons of reviews to find tips and followed all of them carefully. The result: sad medium-orange/bright yellow roots; and darkened brown on the dyed edges near the roots. I had to use my Style Edit spray to cover it up to go out in public. I shampooed with everything I could think of to try to remove the yellow/orange, and it barely faded, which freaked me out. Thankfully, my colorist said it shouldn’t affect my root touch up, and it didn’t seem to.

顔周りの生え際に白髪が多いので部分使いをする為に手軽に染められるものを探していました。 他社のカラーシャンプーも使用したことがありますが、トリートメントの方がシャンプーの後に使うので１回で染まった感じがします。 きしまないし、トリートメント効果も感じられたのでこのまま使用してみたいと思いました。 手についても洗い流せば残らないし、床や壁についても簡単に落ちます。

１回使いましたが、肌に合わないのか、顔が痒くなってブツブツが出ました😭 製品的にはすごくサラサラになってとても良いんです！！敏感肌用があれば嬉しいです😭😭（ちなみにシャンプーも15分置いて毎回使いましたが、少量の白髪には全然染まりませんでした、、）

匂いが優しく、ツンとした感じがないので使いやすいです。普通のトリートメントと同じような感覚で、気軽に使えるのも気に入っています。 使用すると手が少し着色してしまいますが、時間が経つと自然に取れるので、そこまで気になりません。 月に一度美容院でカラーをしているので、その間の色落ちキープとして使うとちょうどいいです。
