Aqua Manda by Aqua Manda Purse Spray Gift Set

Bought as a gift for someone of a certain age who was absolutely delighted. Purists say it doesn't smell the same, but our sense of smell changes with age and it smelt pretty good to us and just as we remembered it. Almost had us wishing we'd kept our flares and platform shoes. I had tried ordering direct from the Aqua Manda site, but this was out of stock for ages. I only looked on Amazon for it out of curiosity. Arrived next day. Excellent. Will order another as soon as it runs out.

I bought this for my grandma for Christmas as my mum told me she used to wear Aqua Manda when she was younger... Unfortunately she said it doesn't quite smell as she remembers, it is lovely but not quite there.. She did admit herself though her scent could have changed over the years the same way your taste does but overall she loved the product and wears it everyday!:)

Nice scent, very similar to the talc etc from the 70s. However the perfume spray lacks the tartness and mandarin smell of the original, which was always sharper than the talc.

Of course it's difficult to remember a perfume from so long ago, but I'm sure this smells nothing like it. The original aqua manda had a strong, tangy orangey spicy smell, but this is very poor, at first it smells faintly orangey but it quickly fades to something more like cheap air freshener. I bought the gift set and although the packaging is pretty, the box was very flimsy and the contents poorly wrapped. At almost £40 this was an expensive waste of money, and I won't want to wear it.

Smells nothing like the original product very expensive for a cheap product !

A lovely gift set. I’m not sure if it is the same as the one that I used in my teens. It doesn’t seem to smell of oranges but it is very pleasant. It has all of the things I hoped it would have in a gift set, but I would have loved a shower gel either included in the gift set or available to buy separately.

I used to be crazy for aqua manda, but sadly this smells nothing like it. pleasant though but expensive I think.
