They fit my walking poles well and give a less harsh strike. Much more comfortable to use and much quieter on roads and paths.

Thought I'd try these as replacements for the original Black Diamond tips as the difference in price is huge. They fit the BD poles perfectly, are a little shorter than the BD tips and do not give quite as much grips as the BD tips I guess because the rubber used is harder. But, for the money, they're an excellent alternative.

Only been using the tip protectors for a couple of weeks, so cannot give a long term view. However, so far, I have not experienced any problems with them. They were an exact replica of the original protector that came with the stick. I have only tried one, but it fitted on perfectly well. I am having problems with my left knee, so have been leaning heavily on the stick as I walk. On examination after a couple of weeks use, the protector looks a bit scuffed on the bottom, but no more than could be expected. There is no “complete disintegration” as one reviewer claimed. The original protector lasted 8 years with light use; if each of these lasts a year with the heavier use, I shall not need to buy any further supplies for 6 years or so. That’s less than a pound a year. Entirely satisfied thus far. My stick is an Out There antishock model - if that is any help.

These tips are superb especialy if you are long distance trekking....they are quite cheap compared to the others. On the Camino de Santiago you have to use these in the early mornings on cobbled streets to cut the tap, tap, tapping.
