Love this device, easy plug and play, great remote with voice activation, great apps pre loaded but very easy to add your own. Great value for money and we used to take abroad although please note not all apps will work abroad!! Netflix works fine.

I've had a Roku stick before but wanted to try this format so that I could trail a longer hdmi cable to my avr (to use it to switch output to a projector as well as a tv). It works well. The only issue was getting the settings on the TV right so that the Roku would recognise it as a 4k screen. Otherwise it would only offer 1020p. Managed it eventually, so that 4k and hdr are on hand. The picture and sound are excellent, the choice of apps is great, and the device operates slickly. I have not tried its competitors but would not feel I had to. Recommended.

Recently I cancelled pay to view TV and having already owned one ROKU on another TV I wanted another for the TV in the kitchen. I read up and this model was reviewed as the best option for me. The model is fast and easy to operate. The updated handset is easy to set up to use with the TV and there is a volume control on the side. Easy to download on and operate with a vast number of programmes and films. Great value for money.

Great product, setup in minutes, YOU CAN DECLINE TO ADD A PAYMENT METHOD DURING THE SETUP PROCESS OF YOUR ROKU ACCOUNT, Enclosed HDMI is very short = about 50cm, utilises 5Ghz wifi, Unfortunately I couldn’t use the enclosed USB plug as it’s for the US with no clip on adapters supplied for EU use etc, no problem though as I just used one I already had (the old USB-A) but I’m sure this will annoy people here, more so if it was USB-C, but it’s not. This model features a voice remote, but note this remote isn’t like previous versions which also have a 3.5mm audio jack out on the remote for private listening, download the app to, it helps to add channels seamlessly and acts as a wifi remote control, device automatically connected to Amazon Alexa “alexa, launch spotify” great stuff, this is my second Roku device, main is a hardwired (ethernet) Roku Ultra 4670RW, worth a comparison as I always prefer a hardwired connection where possible.

My Samsung television does not support the iFIT app and I have positioned it to use the bigger screen with my exercise bike. So I use this to give me Roku, which does give me ifit. Then I play my iFIT workouts synchronously on my exercise bike screen and a large TV ( Samsung with this device on HDMI input) positioned ahead of me. Works a treat and saved me upgrading to a 27 inch screened Nordic track bike. The only extra work is synchronising the two iFIT workout streams but that gets pretty easy once you are used to doing it. 38” screen is ace!

We bought this to connect a fairly old tv to the internet for streaming tv, where there is no nearby aerial. It works well.

If you live in South Africa, I do not recommend you buy it, because most of the features do not work there, some apps do not appear and is not possible to install and if you like the soccer international live sport events you will be frustrated. The voice assistant does not work, even the voice search option

I have to share two points of view: 1- The seller was diligent in his responses and this added confidence in my purchase. 2- Now on to the product itself. I was in search for a streaming device for Netflix and Youtube only and roku gave me confidence over Google 4k streaming device. It truly works well and the UI is very easy and simple to use. I will definitely recommend buyers in Australia to go for it. However, if you have internet issue, no streaming deivce works.

Problematisch: Die Prokuktbeschreibung nennt über 300 freie TV-Streams bzw. also Fernsehsender. Leider haben diese nur wenig zu tun mit der Senderlandschaft hierzulande, übrig bleiben knapp 10 Sender (bzw. deren Mediatheken). Somit keinerlei Ersatz für einen Sat-Receiver, was für Neulinge in der Materie nur schwer erkennbar ist. +++ Fette Pluspunkte für die übersichtlich geführte einfache Einrichtung und das Handling des Geräts, das ist super gelöst. Streaming-Abonnenten können sich freuen! -- Das beiliegende Steckernetzteil ist für irgendwelche ausländische Steckdosenformate, ein Adapter liegt nicht bei. Somit für den Mülleimer ...gut wenn man gerade ein Handy-Netzteil übrig hat. Hierfür einen Stern abzug!
