The three USB ports and the SD card slot are a welcome addition to the Mac mini. However, whilst inserting the SD card is easy, extracting it is a bit fiddly as the slot is very close to surface on which the hub stands. This is is a minor criticism. The bonus is the ability to add memory. Buyers should be prepared to up to £150.00 for a 1TB SS memory stick. The hub is well made and the and finish matches the Mac Min perfectly. On the whole a good product and recommended.

Using this hub for a year now with a NVMe in it and a bunch of other things plugged in - works as advertised. Sleek design. Definitely worth the money. I have an external NVMe plugged into it along with an internal one - no speed issues whatsoever. Connectivity is perfect. I read some feedback about MAC Minis heating up while sitting on top of this hub and I was monitoring this closely for a year - it's not the case at all. And as you can see on the photo it even sits under another cover, there isn't significant airflow but even there MAC doesn't heat up at all.

This is a fantastic bit of kit. Essentially it is a USB C expansion hub made to match an Apple Mac Studio computer. It is perfectly colour matched and the dimensions means that your MacStudio sits perfectly on top. It has a usb c plug which connects to a usb c socket at the back of your MacStudio and provides front expansion sockets for USB A and C as well as SD card and micro SD card slots. The real trick up its sleeve is the M.2 drive bay in the base which has allowed me to easily add a 4TB NVME drive that has massively expanded the internal storage at a fraction of the cost. I get about 900mbs write speeds which is great for photo and video editing up to 4k30. Overall this looks the part is well made and works perfectly and I can recommend it completely.

Love it ! Have noticed a problem with WiFi but I just put it on top of the mini and works fine.

Added a 2TB drive card and it works like a dream. Nice product and adds extra ports for micro cards at the front. Look great with the Mac Mini M1.

I bought this product as it was a great way to add extra storage and connectivity on the front of our Mac Mini. However, it seems this device is killing the WiFi to the Mac. It used to randomly drop WiFi, but now it seems to permanently kill the WiFi. Took me ages to find this. Tried various tests to eliminate other things. If I have USB C lead plugged into the Mac from the hub, my WiFI speed drops from 100Mbps to so slow that speed tests won't run! They think I am disconnected. I rerun the test with the cable unplugged and speed is back to normal. Really, really disappointed as this product adds so much to the Mac mini and matches the look and feel so well. Being in the high-tech industry and to see a device so negatively impact another wireless device is shocking!

This lovely bit of kit does exactly what it says on the tin - make the Mac Mini much more user friendly. Having slots on the front saves me so much time and desktop real estate. Being able to install a big SSD and make it bootable without paying Apple's ridiculous prices is a total game changer. Highly recommended.

Feels like an Apple product when next to my Mac mini. providing a smooth and reliable performance. I particularly love the sleek and stylish design of these products, which perfectly complement my table. This product offers incredible value for money. It has a powerful charging capability and is easy to install. I’m truly delighted with my purchase.

I have been using mine for a year now with my Mac Studio. And I love it. Let me count the ways I love it: 1) internal hard disc is a must. And I love that I get to choose how large the disc is. 2) ports. And more ports. And more ports. 3) ports on both the front and the back is awesome. I can plug my keyboard into the back and leave the front open for usb devices and yubi keys, etc. 4) did I mention all the ports! 5) the design is awesome as it allows it to cool well. My only complaint is the attachment dongle is a little short. I wish it was a bit longer because sometimes I need to rotate my box because Apple put the WiFi antenna in a funny place and it sometimes blocks the signal. It is awesome!

Very Very happy with this unit. It even works with a USB "C" to USB "A" adapter to my older Mac. I installed a 2TB SSD and it was easy peasy for even a rank amateur. Once I get my newer M2 Mac Mini set up I'm gone buy another one. I love the look and the ease of use with the front end USB and associated ports. I understand Apple's esthetics for a clean look to their mac mini's but USB ports at the rear and lately fewer of them - is a serious negative design decision in my opionion. This is a perfect addition to my Mac Mini M1. Two USB-A ports on the stock M1 is not enough for me. So having three more as well as USB-C, a place for an NVMe disk, and a card reader is very nice to have. I don't use the 3.5mm audio Jack. Keep in mind though: the hub itself cannot saturate the maximum bandwidth of the Thunderbolt port it occupies because of the 10Gbps (total) speed limit. Meaning: that 10Gbps will be SHARED across ALL things connected to the hub at any given time. For regular and typical use, that is plenty because file transfer speeds are often bottlenecked by how many there are and how small each file is. Lots of tiny files will be slow no matter how fast the potential write speed is of the target. Overall, this is a much needed upgrade to my M1 and it looks good in combination with it.
