I made a tarte tatin in it. Went from hob to oven, no problem. Looks good too.

First time STAUB owner!
My first STAUB purchase and I’m very impressed. I usually go with the other high profile cast iron pan supplier, but I wanted a cast iron pan with 2 grab handles(thank you arthritis) and couldn’t find one from Le Creuset. The colour (grey) is gorgeous and the pan has a decent weight to it. Used for the first time tonight (frying some poppadoms) and only needed a rinse with water before first use. Oil heated quickly and fried perfectly. Will def be considering more Staub pans for my collection.

Nice if you can find it less on sale
Solid cast iron with a sturdy weight to it, it’s not really suitable for tossing food. It looks great on the dining table and helps keep your food warm for a bit longer.

Great pan
This is a nice pan. I haven't experienced any quality issues with it. Ive used it maybe 10 times and its still working well with no defects appearing (which you'd hope given that its a Staub). Works really well on things like caramelised onions and stuff that needs a slow cook. I found I really needed a lid though so just bought a cheap 26cm Chinese lid and it works well. Would reccommend

SOLID, VERSATILE PAN THAT CAN BE USED ON ANY HOB OR ON THE BBQ. NON STICK, EASY CLEAN AND COOKS ANY FOODS QUICKLY. USED FOR ROAST POTATOES, VEGETABLES AND DESSERTS. GOOD SIZE FOR 2. A TRULY GREAT BRAND.

Estoy disfrutando al cocinar. Empiezo con fuego al 4 de 9 y luego voy bajando al 3 y medio o al 3 si está muy caliente. Es muy versátil, para guisos, paellas, wok. De momento he cocinado dos platos. El primer día antes del primer uso la fregué de forma suave y la dejé secar. Siempre hay que dejarla siempre secar para que no se oxide.
