Mine had scratches on the bottom, broken front handle, and missing scupper plugs. I contacted desertcart's customer service and they wanted me to send it back. I was able to get a small partial credit refunded to my account. While the repair cost was probably more than what I received, I am able to do the repairs by myself. The kayak has ample storage capacity and can hold up to 350 lbs. I like the water resistant storage design. The opening is wide enough to put everything I need to on it. The kayak is easy to use and very stable. It isn't super fast or maneuverable. That's the sacrifice you make for stability. In summary, I would recommend, but make sure you inspect and report anything that is missing or damaged. The customer service has been helpful with me. I purchased this for our son who loves to fish and has been asking for one for a long time. He is not a very strong swimmer and although he always wears a good life vest we were concerned about him flipping the kayak especially in the middle of the lake. However, he feels very comfortable in this kayak and it has all the features he wanted. He often stays out fishing in the small lakes around our county for hours.
