Sand Dollars and Starfish

For those wondering if these starfish and sand dollars are real, and concerned whether or not they were harvested: The seller states in the description that they are from the Gulf of Mexico. Yes, these were living sea creatures, but nothing has been "harvested". They are collected from the beach where they naturally get washed up by waves. If they are not already dead when deposited on the beach, they die a natural death within a very short time, usually within a few minutes. Some species of starfish die as quickly as 20-30 seconds without water. The seller wrapped each shell in a pouch of bubble wrap, then those pouches were wrapped in additional bubble wrap. This was placed inside a small box to protect them during shipping. All of mine arrived in pristine condition. I used them in a beachy display with some other items I purchased here on Amazon. Only these shells are real, the other items are resin (sea turtles) or glass (jellyfish and puffer fish). Even the 'sea glass' I used as my base is actually machine tumbled, recycled glass-which came from Michaels.

Beautiful Star fish & Silver Dollars, very large 3 each, both are extremely fragile. Beautiful, I wish I ordered 3 sets of each! Packaged extremely well. Not one came chipped or broken. Worth every penny ♥️♥️👍😃 Love them♥️💗 I highly recommend purchasing yours today however I I would suggest buying two or three packages I wish I did. Off to purchase two more sets. Beautiful, well formed, pristinely packed with no defects or chips or broken ones or anything. They were quite a bit bigger than I expected them to be (I admit I did not look at the measurements) but they ended up working well for what I wanted them for. See pic. They do have a little bit of an ocean smell but that goes away if you put it outside for an hour.

It was very nice but smaller than I'd hoped.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I liked the size offered and the mix of starfish and sand dollars.

I was actually looking for resin starfish and ordered these by accident but they are lovely. I can't really use them as intended because they would be too delicate but I have found another use for them and they are very nice. Thank you. The 3 star rating on sturdiness is just because they are delicate by nature - no reflection on the quality of item.
