I bought these for hiking, but they have fast became my go-to footwear choice. They are so comfy and practical they function equally as well trekking up a mountain to going for a posh sit down meal. Infact just recently I went on a skiing holiday where I would usually take multiple styles of footwear, from flip flops to cuban heels, but for the first time ever I took only these boots. My partner couldn’t believe how lightly I packed he is usually always complaining I take too many shoes lol :) They performed outstandingly well and came into their own when we had a delay and were diverted to another airport. The old me would have got stressed out with all the waiting around and walking we had to do, but with these boots on I remained calm and was able to deal with the situation effectively and calmly, and when I got home my feet didn't even feel like they had been on holiday. They were like “Put them boots back on me, we are ready to go again”! Amazing, sensible boots that say I am a stylish, trendy, but practical man, confident in his own skin ready to tackle anything thrown at him. The compliments I got while wearing these were non stop! I should be on commission lol! :) proper head turners! Needless to say, I can definitely recommend them! I might even get them in a different colour!

These boots are very good. As a postman, I walk a lot of miles on the pavement, so I need a shoe that has a hard wearing sole, comfortable, and most importantly that is waterproof. These boots tick those boxes very well. Of course, you need to look after them, so I make sure I use a good Gore-Tex boot cleaner and then I spray on a re proofer if I've been out in heavy rain in them. I average around 16,000 - 20,000 steps a day in these, and by around the 5th month of having them the sole will be worn through. But, I'm happy with that compared to other boots I've had. I will however only get these when they're on offer, for me that's been from around £79 - £95. I don't want to pay more than that for work shoes. I recommend these boots.

very comfy, very light and very waterproof. what you'd call a three quarter boot but, with a gaiter, would provide all the waterproofing you'd need. light but seemingly well made. i either use a heavier scarper or, more recently a trail running shoe, so this will make a nice compromise for the coming winter. even seems to be ok with a crampon but they do squirm in them a bit. well worth the money

Very good boots, comfortable straight out the box. Waterproof but not particularly warm. I'm a UK 9 and needed to go up to a10 - enough room for thick socks if needed. Tried 9 1/2 but a little too tight. Only downside is insoles are rubbish so would suggest something better. Seem well made and the sole looks hard wearing based on a couple of weeks walking the dog. Got them with 40% off so very happy.

The uppers are good & waterproof but the rubber the soles are made from is so soft all the tread wore away in less than 2 months use on daily dog walks. The majority of use was in woodland and tracks across fields, a lot less than 50% of the use was on tarmac or other abrasive surfaces.

Wore boots for coastal walking scores of years! Berghaus usually but they lost their waterproofing within 3 years. Not the same quality anymore. Can’t say how long these will last but the most comfortable and lightweight I’ve ever had . No new boot blisters anymore either ! I am size 9 but needed 9.5 as narrow fit .

Advertised as waterproof and they are not. A little bit of rain and they leak. First pair of Gortex boots and they don’t live up to the hype. I’d expect better for £100 plus boots. As it’s after 30 days can’t return on Amazon and your directed direct to Salomon. They state if you bought from Amazon go direct with them. So for a months worth of wearing there expensive as I don’t feel I’ll get anywhere with a return for a faulty product!

I love these Salomon Ortholite boots. They’re primarily used for the daily dog walk expeditions and have proved to be the best boots I’ve had in ages. The best thing is the lightweight quality but they have surprised me by the excellent waterproofing. For up to four hours of wet Welsh weather, they stay dry and comfortable very well. (I haven’t tested them beyond a four hour walk but they stand up to pretty soggy weather and deep puddles excellently). I’ve been wearing this pair for about two months and they show little sign of wear and tear. Hose the down after a muddy walk and they look as good as new.

These boots are amazing, excellent traction and top quality manufacturing !!!! Unfortunately my feet were already Adidas and Merrell feet !!!! My 9.5USA were a bit small even after I took them out for a short walk. I contacted the seller and it was totally easy to return them with a full refund. Unfortunately, I wish they were a good fit as I really like the quality and style. To the Seller: Thanks for making this first time (buying shoes) so painless ... 5 STARS for sure !!!!

- Tened en cuenta que Salomon lleva varios años fabricando las zapatillas con GTX algo más pequeñas, asi que siempre pide una talla más de lo que sueles usar. - Mi talla en Salomón era 46 2/3 y me compré estas en 47. - De talla me están bien, pero la puntera me esta alto apretada, y no entiendo porque las hacen tan justas en esa zona. Espero que con el uso diga de ceder algo, porque resulta algo incómodo. - Calidad muy buena, como siempre, aunque a mi me gustaban más las que eran enteras de piel. - De todas formas, si las sabes cuidar bien, te pueden durar muchísimos años. Tengo unas zapatillas de X Ultra del 2016 que las sigo usando.
