I don't know if the gauge or thickness is important to everyone, its not to me These compare to every restaurant pan I've ever used, ,yes the lids may have a bit of sharpness , little easing will fix that For the price , I'd buy again

Should have read the reviews before ordering but I was in a hurry, the pans don't get stuck on each other, but that's the only good thing about it, the lids have sharp points were they joined the handles, very dangerous for it will cut you and because they are open, which will cause rust with time since all food creates steam. One had an split open defect, like the steel had a layer and not completely steel..

Kind of thin material but usable on pans. Every lid handle broke at the welds withon the first week of use. Avoid buying these!!
