I recommend using self-stick cable guides to protect it once ready to permanently put in use to keep from accidently breaking it, but is it warranted for 1 year through the manufacturer. The transmitter end is placed in front of your unit and the receiver is on the longer end with a USB connector to go to power- so you need a wall plug adapter that DOES NOT come with it, but any USB wall adapter works with it. I loved mine until I accidently broke it. It is a proprietary product. Make sure it will work with your equipment before ordering as some equipment uses a 1.5mm mini plug.
