Connect it between a compatible OBD2 vehicle and diagnostic equipment. The labeled 4 mm test ports allow a multimeter or oscilloscope to measure voltage and signals on selected pins while a compatible scan tool remains connected. Depending on vehicle design, circuits may include CAN High, CAN Low, K-Line, L-Line, J1850, chassis ground, signal ground and battery power.
