Wera quality, hex driver more convenient than an allen key
Reviewed April 2025: Bought this for the convenience of having something in the house that I can use for tightening up internal door handles, as ours have hex grub screws and have a habit of coming undone. Yes, I could have used a very cheap allen key, but I wanted the convenience of it being a screw driver handle both for use and also its easier to find once it goes into the utility cupboard (also known as our internal black hole). I bought Wera as I tend to only buy hand tools from 4 brands, Wera being one, and this was the best price for the size. I am a fan of the Wera screwdrver handles, they are easy to hold and enable a tight drop. I also know the driver tips are always well machined, meaning a good fit, and well hardened, meaning they won't wear, break, etc as easily as something cheap. In this hex application, this is partiularly important because hex drive heads do seem to be prone to wearing if the allen key is a poor fit, or not properly engaged, and then they are a pain to undo. I knew what I was getting when buying Wera, and it has matched expectations. I'd buy again if needed.

Another Quality Tool From Wera
Once you have bought and tried a few Wera tools you just know that they are a quality product. Definitely on a par with Snap-On or Facom but generally at a more reasonable price. In summary you can't go wrong with Wera tools. And in case you're wondering, no this isn't a sponsored review, I paid the full retail price.

Hexagon tipped screwdriver.
4 mm hexagon tip screwdriver along with an existing Alan key helped me assemble a new garden seat in kit form, screwdriver was a tremendous help and has a nice comfy handle.

Good quality
Fairly small diameter handle but was ideal for getting grub screws out that were tight to the wall. Good quality as you expect from Wera.

Perfect for the job.
It's Wera, what more can you say, its very well made, very strong and does what it's meant to do. Most, if not, all of my handheld hex, torx and screwdrivers are Wera.

The driver I never knew I needed
Given how often I find myself assembling things that use hex screws, I finally decided to break down and purchase a set of tools rather than rely on the cheap allen wrenches that everyone seems to send out for free. The Wera hex drivers I purchased have proven to be the star of the show. They're well made, comfortable, and don't hurt my hands after a long session of use. I appreciate the size being written on the base of the driver -- when organizing a set, it makes things far more convenient. Overall: Highly recommended. I wish I had bought this sooner.

Wera is the KING!
Wera makes the best stuff. I work a lot on Japanese and European motorcycles. I bought these drivers in 4, 5, and 6mm which covers most fasteners on the bikes. Got tired of rounding out screw heads and/or the cheapy "L" wrenches. These are so much better.
