Doesn’t work on 2005 BMW Z4 E85 Business CD Players.
Doesn’t come with the 300k resistor required for BMW Business radios. Does not mention this in the listing before buying. Doesn’t work on my 2005 BMW Z4 Business CD player.

Do not work on x3 e83 xdrive20d with navi gps.
It do not work it shows as aux but after plug in anything or even touch aux cable it doing click from speakers ant aux dissapears from screen as for the price i payed it should be plug and play.Now i need to cut cable add resistor and 2 coils and cross fingers to work if ton i need to redo it from scratch and lose my money... i'm pist.

Works Perfect
Just followed a tutorial on youtube. It was very easy to install and setup. I have a 2006 X5 and I just ran the cord though the cigarette holder hole and now it's a clean looking aux input.

Not functional
Unfortunately, it did not work for me. I’ll have to buy a BMW genuine cord.

I had to put this in my 2005 BMW x5. It work just fine.

AUX input may not work correctly without a ground loop noise isolator
I installed this cable in my 06 BMW X5 and it does work, but there's a catch. The radio wouldn't switch to the AUX input on the screen unless my phone was connected. If I then connected my phone to a charger it would disconnect. After some research I found out that the OEM AUX cable from BMW has a resistor built into it that the radio needs to detect to work correctly. Installing a cheap ground loop noise isolator fixed the issue and it works perfectly now.
