Meletius 'Spread the Love' Blend (250g)

The most aromatic and smooth coffee I've had outside of Italy!!

I was initially drawn to the coffee because of the distinct blend with it being a Medium Roast from South America with Caramel, Chocolate, Stone Fruit, Sweet Spiced Marzipan, Nutty flavourings. The beans come as part of a pack of 1kg and on opening there was a strong scent of the aforementioned flavourings, the beans themselves are quite small and quite dry compared to my usual purchases. On putting the beans into my machine, i found they ground very well and poured a nice espresso with pretty good crema. There's also a lovely aroma from the beans once the shot has been poured. However i'm of 2 minds of the beans in that they smell great and pour well, but i think it's just not to my personal preference. I tried different settings to try alter the grind and espresso shot and i couldn't find a configuration that allowed me to enjoy the flavours. I found these beans had a slight bitterness i just couldn't get along with them. But i can recognise they are a quality and distinct product.

Absolutely love this coffee so thought I'd review and "Spread the Love", guess I found the reason for the name! It's absolutely delicious with great complexity of flavour, smooth drinking and makes me smile when I drink it.

Lovely coffee beans, nice aroma and taste, jot too strong. Recommended!

This is a really lovely coffee that had been roasted only a few days before it arrived. The beans are all in great condition and are whole, there is no oilyness and the aroma from the bag is wonderful. The bag itself can be resealed and it is recommended that you use it within a month of opening, that is not going to be a problem as I have had a few cups of this already so it won't see the month out. This is a medium roast and is not too bitter, it does have nice notes and as I drank it I was able to taste a hint of the chocolate, caramel and a slight nuttiness to it. This is a nice flavour and a great quality. I would definitely recommend this and I will be trying some of the others.

Despite the fact that coffee and green and black tea contribute to throat cancer, I am still in the habit of having a cuppa a day. And this coffee is definitely that good sort that tastes great and is very well presented. You have to consume it within a month after opening and the expiry date was only 6 months away when it arrived in the first place. And with one cup a day, this pack is supposed to be discarded already and I am only halfway through, sort of. Anyway, if you are a keen coffee person, this is definitely worth giving a go.

We drink coffee daily using a bean to cup machine. The beans were delivered the next day and came very fresh having been roasted only the previous week. The beans smelled really good. It is not as strong as our usual blend however it was pleasant with a nice flavour of caramel. There was a lovely crema on top which I like. The price is reasonable for a very decent blend of fresh coffee beans and I would buy these again.

Caffè in grani col retrogusto di cioccolato. Come dico sempre quando si parla di caffè il gusto è molto personale e varia a seconda dei gusti di ognuno. Nel mio caso non amo particolarmente quello arabica e questo purtroppo ha un gusto di quel tipo. Detto questo cerco comunque di fare una recensione imparziale e ringrazio Amazon Vine per l'opportunità di testarlo. La prima volta che l'ho provato è venuto praticamente acqua e l'ho buttato. Dalla seconda volta in poi riducendolo più in polvere e pressandolo maggiormente invece il caffè è uscito discreto. Fa una buona crema e il gusto non è male anche se personalmente non ho sentito il retrogusto di cioccolato. Dò 4 stelle perchè si vede che è un caffè di qualità anche se non di mio gradimento ma alla mia famiglia è piaciuto. Prezzo secondo me un pò alto sui 46 euro.

Café en grains Meletius “spread the love” dans un sachet de 1 kg, café torréfié aux notes fruitées et doux , a une odeur agréable dès l'ouverture de l'emballage, des grains forts, et un bon goût, l'arôme n'est pas très intense, convient si vous n'aimez pas amer, ou préférez un café au lait. Il s'adapte à la machine à café, il fait aussi un peu de mousse au final. Un peu cher mais je recommande.

Gleichermaßen der größte Vorteil und gleichzeitig Nachteil dieses Kaffees ist, das er keine besonders hervorstechenden Eigenschaften hat. Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Kaffees dieser Preisklasse ist er keine besondere Note von Schokolade oder Karamell, noch ist er sonderlich erdig oder nussig... Er schmeckt einfach nach perfektem Durchschnitts-Kaffee, was ich hier ausdrücklich positiv meine. Ich könnte viele Tassen dieses Kaffees trinken, ohne dass er mir zu aufdringlich werden würde. Auch hat all meinen Besuchern dieser Kaffee bisher ausgezeichnet gefallen. Ich bereite diesen Kaffee mit meinem Vollautomaten zu, und dabei gelingt dieser Kaffee in allen Variationen: Crema, Long, Americano, Milchkaffee.. Fazit: Ich werde mir diesen Kaffee nun regelmäßig nachbestellen, da er für den Alltag und bei Gästen mit unbekannten Vorlieben einfach immer geeignet ist.

J'ai une machine à grains depuis des années et ai testé pas mal de cafés différents. Celui que je consommais avant celui-ci revenait à 25€ le kilo. Le meletius est à 40€ le kilo. Je le trouve bon, mais ne se démarque pas de mon café habituel.

Un buon caffè in grani con tostatura media, adatto per gli amanti del caffè nero senza dolcificanti vari. L'ho provato con diverse caffettiere e macchine per: espresso, americano, french press, percolatura alla tedesca (a mano) e naturalmente moka. Ogni volta l'ho macinato nella grana più adatta usando un grinder elettrico con macine di ottima qualità. Lascia in bocca un buon sapore, si sente chiaramente la nota di cacao e una leggera acidità. L'ho apprezzato meglio preparandolo con la moka, perché è uscito un caffé piacevole e molto adatto al dopo pasto. Con la macchina per espresso l'acidità l'ho sentita molto, mentre preparato all'americana/francese/tedesca la parte aromatica è uscita con forza, insieme alla dolcezza. Chi ha un buon palato e passione per il caffè saprà distinguere le particolarità di questi chicchi e avrà voglia di provarlo. L'etichetta sulla confezione che mi è stata consegnata il 22 ottobre riporta come data di sigillatura l'8 agosto e il consiglio di consumarlo entro un anno, conservandolo a temperatura ambiente. Il costo è abbastanza alto, in questo momento 45,96 euro al chilo, per cui naturalmente lo consiglio agli appassionati o per fare un regalo a chi saprà apprezzarlo.
