The tricks in this book will teach you:โข Using memorizing techniques that will help you recall formulas of Trigonometry.โข Understand the derivation of some of the formulas, which will help you to be able to rebuild the formula.โข How to maintain a balance memorizing-mental state so that all of your studying stays in your head! You'll be amazed at how much better you'll be at Calculus and Trigonometry (Math in general) after reading this book with the tricks shown in the book.Stop letting math frustrate you, get your copy today and let this book show you the key to learning and memorizing Trigonometry formula to eliminate the frustration in learning Trigonometry.Good luck with understanding math formulas! Review: โPractice and learning derivations are the two best methods to learn all the formulas of mathematics.โ - Indian author Rajesh Sarswat is a Post Graduate in Computer Science and worked from a senior capacity under the Government of India until he retired to pursue his passion for writing and teaching, focusing on mathematics and research on various techniques and concepts of quick mathematics. His first book โBe a Human Calculatorโ was the result of his research in this field for the past 20 years. His other books include โAvoid Silly Mistakes in Mathematics", and " How to Memorize Formulas in Mathematics Book 1 Calculus, and "How to Memorize Formulas in Mathematics Book-2 Trigonometry." Rajeshโs fine book is a workbook. As he offers his reason for writing the book in his Preface we discover, โThe roots of this book could be traced to the year 1991 when I skimmed through a small article in a vernacular newspaper on quick mathematics. The article was based on a technique of multiplication evolved by Jakow Trachtenberg, the famed Russian mathematician. The article left a deep imprint in my mind and I wondered as to whether there were other such techniques of quick mathematics. This led me to look for more insightful articles and papers. As I was preparing for competitive examinations conducted by various public agencies which almost always require consummate mathematical skills for success, I found these techniques truly useful. Little did I realize at that time that my incessant journey into the realm of quick mathematics had begun! I had taken to a passion that would be in my psyche for all times to come. These techniques worked very well and I cleared a plethora of competitive examinations. The more I practiced the techniques, the better I got at them. Very soon I was able to appreciate the deeper and subtle aspects of quick mathematics. I realized that speed at solving problems directly influenced the appreciation of the problems. And thorough appreciation of mathematical problems, every great mathematician would tell you, is the key to solutions. I also deem it essential to mention at this juncture that the faster you get at problem solving, the greater is your accuracyโฆ. By reading this book, the students will be able to: memorize all the formulas with better understanding. The book covers two aspects of formulas learning. One is general aspects, which apply to all branches of Mathematics. These have been explained in detail in the first chapter. The second element is some particular techniques, observations, derivations which will help students to learn the formulas of a specific topic in Mathematics (Calculus, Trigonometry, etc.).โ This book is a teaching manual with accessible formats for learning basic techniques that apply to memorizing formulas, finding tricks to learn formulas of derivatives and formulas of integration along with a section on silly mistakes in calculus. Throughout the book Rajesh keeps the reader with him allowing the learning process to take place, reinforcing each โmemorization trickโ with supplemental practice examples. For students as well as for anyone who deals with numbers this book is an invaluable addition to the library. Grady Harp, August 18. I just wish I had read this book when I was taking calculus in college! I wonder if the author could do something along the same way for physics?

An indispensable study aid, iff you have already studied calculus.
Firstly, in case it is not already clear, be aware that this book is by no means a primer for calculus. Your knowledge of calculus, what it does and how it does it, are all assumed, as are any mathematical terms. There is not so much as a glossary, so if you have not yet studied calculus, save this book for later. What the book is very good for, however, is laying out the formulae that you will need all in one place, and presenting them in an organised fashion, clustered so as to make them much more manageable. Talk in terms of the science of memory, if like me you are more familiar with this than you are with calculus, this is about chunking. While each formula is itself a collection of chunks, for a person who has studied calculus each becomes a single chunk, but that still means a lot of chunks to remember, since there are a lot of formulae. The way that Sarswat presents them means that each collection of formulae can become a single chunk instead, with some mental notes on the variations to be found therewithin, why they occur and how to remember the differences, so as to effectively learn many formulae for the price of each one. All in all, Iโd consider this [by no means stand-alone] handbook an excellent adjunct to any studentโs arsenal when it comes to mastering the dark art of calculus.

A how to on memorizing formulas
This is a short book on methods of memory that can help you to retain information on formulas. The author uses some basic methods to help you in the process of memorizing mathematical formulas. I found some of the information to be new and interesting but I also saw some information that his common knowledge and has been out there for a long time. I think there are some useful methods and material in this book that are a benefit to those wanting to learn but struggling with remembering the formula used. Check this one out if you are looking for help in math formulas.

Mind. Blown.
Iโm in Calc III and this has made my life much easier. Itโs the perfect quick go-to when trying to remember the infinite integration and derivative theorems. It gives you efficient little tips on remembering formulas so you can focus on understanding the more more complex calculus. Just 5 minutes into looking at the book when I first downloaded it, I donโt think I will forget trigonometric derivatives. I canโt believe how simple it was the whole time and no one ever showed it to me this way.

Buyer beware! NOT compatible with Kindle Paper White. Just another misleading Ripoff.
NOT compatible with Kindle Paper White. Bought both volumes and can't download them or use them. Ripoff. This doesn't deserve one star.

Amazing tricks, go for it!
Amazing tricks to remember formulae. Although there is a tiny mistake in the formula for integral of (a^x) in Pages 31 and 34. Integral of (a^x) is [(a^x)/(ln a)]+C, but it's printed as (a^x)(ln a) in both those pages. Apart from this tiny mistake, the other tricks are incredibly useful. Every Math student will find this delightful.

There is no value in this 'pamphlet'
This so called 'book' is nothing more than a pamphlet of formulas for calculus listed in groups. Groupings that you would anyway find in any high school or introductory text on the subject. You see all the standard groupings - basic, exponential, trigonemtric etc, but in order to pad out the book, the author lists all the formulas together before grouping them as such. That, together with the oversized font (double the size of regular font) and small pages, brings the 'book' out to 70 pages. There is also a section on tips to help you memorize formulas, which include such nuggets of wisdom as, 'keep your desk clear of distractions', 'get a good night's sleep', and 'be sure to practice using the formula'. If those tips are as inspiring to you as they appear to be to some other reviewers of the book, then what can i say? we live in a strange world. Thank you to Amazon for approving the refund.

I am surprised!!
I am surprised to see some of the bad reviews on the book. Which NCERT book teaches methods to learn the formulas? I don't know. Either these persons know all types of persons, who know everything or they do not know how to appreciate good work. As far as I can see, grouping like formulas together, identify patterns, learn derivations where it is one step derivation and many other general techniques like making a formula copy, practice writing formulas etc.are my take from this book. I have found no other book teaching this. So, go for it.
