I could not get enough of Tori, Ethan, and everyone in this amazing story. The writing is flawless. Humor, sexiness, grab your attention from page one, kind of characters. You get hot Texas nights, second chances, strong loving families. Ethan the sexy, big hearted cowboy. And Tori, who is one fiery strong woman. (I wanna be like Tori when I grow up) They embrace the ups and downs of their lives, and they learn to take the risks and not be scared of second chances. My review can not do this book justice. Trust me, just go now and get this book, and fall in love with this funny, so damn sexy, beautiful story. Lex Martin I am fangirling over you and these characters, and can only hope for more! 4.5 stars I love a good single dad and nanny trope Lex Martin sure delivers. Brady and Kat's was terrific in Shameless so I couldn't wait to see what happens with Tori. Ethan single dad and ranch owner in much need of help, all around grump and grouch, it didn't go well in their initial interview. Tori wins him over though and it might have had some groveling after Ethan being a jerk. Good times ensue after things settle and oh that tension with a dose of attraction helps somewhat but makes a sticky situation. The whole horse ranch and cutting scenario ia new to me so I was pretty intrigued throughout. I like Tori she got burned bad she got a rude awakening and is in a no men diet but it's hard to resist Ethan especially in dad and horse rancher. Our feisty and playful heroine is what he needed to smile more and ease up. Ethan is a good guy and dad putting his kids first his ex stirs up trouble and man she's a witch of sorts. It's pretty sweet than Ethan may be growly at times but rather awesome to Tori and his fam. He also has this alpha side and he steamed up the pages with Tori. I like the progression from easy friendship to that admitted attraction too settling into more. Tori being a caring and all in and vulnerable makes it heartwarming and endearing. It had the heart strings tugging. Their romance was tender and passionate the way they feel towards the other. Aside from the little humor injected it makes it well rounded and I definitely enjoyed that. Oh and Logan needs a book!

Reckless by Lex Martin is an emotional, contemporary, single parent romance told in dual POV. It is a standalone, companion novel to Shameless, and though it's not necessary to read Shameless first, you won't be disappointed if you do because it's a great story. To be near her pregnant sister, Tori reluctantly agrees to interview for a summer nanny job at the ranch down the road. Formerly a party girl, she's made some mistakes and wants to get her life back on track. And after experiencing heartbreak and betrayal, Tori is also on a self-imposed man-free diet. Too bad her new boss is not only broody but sexy as hell. Ethan is having a hard time keeping up with all the responsibilities of running his ranch while taking care of his children and negotiating the terms of his divorce. He needs help and reluctantly interviews Tori for a nanny position after his brother, Logan, basically forces him into it causing them to get off to a rocky start. He acts like a jerk, and she tells him off. Despite bad first impressions, Ethan offers Tori the position and she accepts. She fits right in and does a great job caring for Mila and Cody who both love her right from the start. As Tori and Ethan get to know each other and become friends, they have a difficult time denying their chemistry and mutual attraction. When Ethan's soon to be ex-wife, Allison, finds out about Tori she sets out to separate them and makes things very difficult. How low will Allison stoop to keep them apart? You'll have to read to find out. I really enjoyed this story! As a fan of Lex Martin's previous books, this one did not disappoint. I loved the way Ethan and Tori's relationship grew and progressed from that initial spark of lust to a genuine friendship to eventually falling for each other. The story was sweet, spicy, heartfelt, and humorous. I highly recommend it.

Loved Tory & Ethan. They make a great couple and the children were a joy to read about. It's all about life and love and what happens when you're trying to do the best you can. Ethan has a divorce looming and two adorable children to look after. He has a horse ranch that requires him to work hard and long hours. Ethan's brother and mother are there to lend a helping hand. Besides his children he has little to be happy about. Until Tori. She adds so much to his and to his children's lives. There is a happy ending but they all have to go through all the hoo haa to reach it.

I was thrilled that Lex Martin was releasing Tori's story and boy did she ever deliver. Tori has been burned bad, really bad from her last relationship and has put herself on a break from men. This one hit her hard and tore down all her belief in happy ever after. When she meets a potential boss in the hot and sexy cowboy, Ethan Carter she knows she has to make sure lines don`t get blurred. "This is completely unacceptable. I can’t like a man, especially this man. I will not be charmed by Ethan Carter or his big blue eyes and rough edges." Ethan is in the middle of a nasty divorce and all he need is someone to take care of his two children and to help out a little around the house. The last thing he needs is a hot nanny to mess with his head. "As I’m walking my mom out, I pause in the doorway to look at my kids, who are playing with Tori like nothing happened. Only one thought comes to mind—thank God she’s here." These two together are all kinds of amazing. You desperately want them to get their HEA but there may only be so many obstacles they can face before they throw in the towel. But when you find someone who completes you, that makes you feel like there's more, you just want to hang in for the long ride and see where it takes you. "Once upon a time, I didn’t believe in fairy tales. But then I found my prince. And we saved each other." 5 Swoony, Tattooed Cowboy stars!!!!!

I love the atmosphere, the story and how it is written! The author has a way with words, explaining feeling you don't know how to describe yourself

Honestly this has to be the absolute best book I have read in a long time!! This is a new author to me and I can even begin to describe how utterly AMAZING this story was...hot sexy Nanny....single Dad with 2 wonderful and adorable kids....farm in Texas....what’s not to love about it all... I instantly fell in love with these characters...the feisty Tori and so lovable Ethan...these 2 are a match made in heaven...I loved the instant chemistry between, there first meeting was just brilliant!! I loved how all the characters in this story play a big part...some of the characters had me wanting to jump the book just to throttle them....the children in this book just capture your heart big time...who couldn’t not fall in love with these 2 adorable little ones...you just want to hold them and tell them everything will be ok. This author has honestly hands down produced a book that had me feel so many emotions....I loved the ending...loved the whole story...my heart was so full and at times I even had a small tear in my eyes....but also at times I just laughed out loud.... This book definitely deserves 5 🌟 in my eyes deserves so so so much more...I can not wait to read more books from this author....if there anything like this one, I know without a doubt I will absolutely LOVE them. Thank you for an amazing read...
