It can be a nuisance when you are trying to distance run and your music is interrupting your concentration. I also was looking for something that was not exactly noise cancelling so I can hear instructions during boxing classes - etc. Anyway, these don't fall out, off, move or pretty much anything. They are extremely secure on your noggin, whether running, boxing, whatever, and allow you to hear the things going on around you.That being said, these get three stars because the volume level could be better.
