In the past, I always used Japanese brands like zojirushi, tiger. Compared to these, hydro flask food jar is bulky (bigger for its capacity and heavier). But, I like the wide mouth. Easier to put rice/pasta and easier to clean. It does not come with many smalls pieces to take apart to wash, either. In the morning, I pour boiling water to keep the container warm before packing food in it. My kids swear that it keeps even rice warm by the time they eat at school.
