Purchased this to use as a bean pot......wanted something that could sit on stove top then go into oven (most bean pots are ceramic or clay....didn't want to worry about breakage). Watched the video about using this Indian cooking vessel and became inspired. Works great as a bean pot because of the shape: rounded shape that holds the beans in their liquid without exposing top beans to drying out and also allows you to use less liquid to cook the beans in, and the top of the pot is smaller in diameter to keep in the liquid as it gently bubbles. Perfect vessel! After watching the video of the presenter making a stew, tried out the technique with a vegetarian stew that I like to make. Also was perfect for this. The rounded sides and flat bottom makes a great area to cook the base ingredients (the aromatics like onions, garlic, carrots, celery etc) in oil, allowing for less oil to be needed due to the smaller diameter bottom. The rounded shape keeps the main ingredients surrounded by the sauce. Again I was impressed: made for a great stew pot. Overall, very impressed with this purchase. I'm using it for many things that I would normally use a straight-sided sauce pot for: soups, stews, beans, almost anything cooked or bathed in liquid works great. I generally cook on lower temperatures so that I can remove the pot from the stove and place in the oven to finish so the convenience is an added bonus. Everything on the vessel is metal: hammered copper pot lined with tin (oh hey bonus here....tin is a non-stick surface), rings/handles are heavy-duty brass and large, easy to grab hold of with a towel/potholder, the lid is brass also and fits well on the flaired top. And everything cleans up easily so pot always looks stunning (hey talking copper pot here....one wants to show it off when not in use). This is a sleeper value.....not many know how great of a vessel this is to cook in (the Indians though had us beat....been using it for centuries). Watch the video...get inspired...buy it....cook something fabulous!

Design was lovely. Quality is good. Don’t degrade the quality in the future. And it’s of good weight and thickness. I was worried about charring of food but thickness is reasonably good. Next it can change its colour which is natural but it’s ok I can take some extra effort for maintenance. My wife loved it. Size is good. Not too big not too small. Got it during sale, so I am satisfied with price. Hoping to see more designs from them.

Got a bunch of stuff from this brand, loved the quality of all of them. My personal favourite is this copper dutch oven pot, it is the perfect size, weighs heavy and has a beautiful hammered look! I use it every weekend and love cooking in it, cleaning also seems easy since one wipe makes it spot free from inside and for outer cleaning, they send a liquid cleaning solution, it works like magic! Loved the experience overall.
