Decent phone dongle!
Transparent sound quality, CX31993 chip working as intended. Use it as my phone DAC, along with my SMSL SU-1 as my PC DAC.

An excellent portable solution.
These little dongle DACs are impressive. For critical listening, they're not quite as good as a full-size dongle DAC, such as the Fiio KA17. But, if you're on the go, or your musical tastes don't benefit from critical listening, these are really all you need. They will override your phone's DAC and play through their built-in. In many cases, this will offer you better sound, as phones don't usually offer the best DACs. (Apple being the exception that proves the rule). Volume is still handled by your phone's volume buttons. They're all the same, basically. It's the chipset that matters. Construction as well as performance seem to be fairly equal among all of the models I've tried (I own 3 different makes). These will easily power most IEMs and portable headphones.Be aware, these devices use your phone's battery for power, so expect there to be some drain.

Stopped working in 45 days
What more is there to say? I loved it. It worked great until it stopped working suddenly. No abuse, no moisture. It just stopped. Time to find another dongle.

Great audio and build quality
Very clean audio with plenty of power for IEM's and sturdy build quality for day to day usage. No audible noise floor, even with sensitive IEM'S. Decent output for headphones like the AKG K712. No compatibility issues found on multiple devices/OS's. Easy recommendation.

A usb dongle that gets the job done
From what I have found, this dongle measures to spec, which is expected of the brand that makes some well-regarded dongles. (The ones I provide were taken at 24/48 setting and the dongle was isolated as should be standard practice.) The MAX97220 chip affords it more power than the standalone CX31993 dongles. This one outputs 1.45V at max level, which aligns with the 60mV at 32ohms that the company states. As should be expected from the price and position in the product line, this is a "second tier" USB dongle in terms of measurements but this is never the whole story as after a certain point it really is only about numbers and bragging rights. The important thing is that used correctly with something not on the extremes of sensitivity all you will hear is the music. Finally, I appreciate the robust wiring, which should hold up better than the thinner-wired dongles at a similar price.

It’s worth it
I’m not joking when I say this, there was an immediate difference in not only clarity but volume as well. Probably one of the best purchases I’ve made for a while.

Works as intended
Works as intended. Definitely not a replacement for a proper DAC, but it's perfect for a phone and even a PC if your mobo makes a hissing noise with more powerful audio equipment. Haven't had a single issue.

Worse than the Apple dongle for IEMs
At twice the price of an Apple dongle, this fails to have nearly as clean of an output. With every one of my 10+ IEMs there is audible hiss, from Sennheiser to Kiwiears to Blessing 3 and worst, the Fiio FHE Eclipse just being completely unlistenable with this thing. All of these sound fantastic on the $8 apple dongle, making this DAC another in the "why even bother making this" pile of garbage I've tested. So much for trusting YouTube's resident IEM guy saying this was a step up from the Apple dongle. Then again he's selling the things on his own store now so live and learn I guess. It's one saving grace and what's keeping it from being returned is that does at least have some more voltage swing than the Apple unit, so it's plenty suitable for some of my over-ears cans.If you're reading this frustrated by the same thing, I've been pleased with the Fiio KA2 which uses dual CS43131 dacs to feed a balanced 4.4mm output. Jcally makes a dongle with a single one of this chip feeding a 3.5mm output so maybe that will be better, though I don't know how much of the noise is the choice in chip vs their implementation of it.
