The kettle boils quickly and so far does what it should, I put the toaster on for a few minutes to burn off any residue, it was very strong smell that did stay for a bit around the house but had to be done before use so it is fine now. I clean with a soft damp cloth, I do use the smol kitchen cleaner and this is natural products not harmful to the coatings but I only add a small amount to a cloth then wipe over.
