I want to use this to stop cats from getting into a room.** A: It’s probably about a 2 inch gap. **Q: Does it reduce noise?** A: I use it for giving me some privacy in my office space but I don’t think it reduces noise much at all. **Q: Is there anyway to purchase the bottom part that the screen fits into?** A: Mine came with the bottom part. **Q: Can you share the fire resistance rating of the fabric?** A: Sorry I am not sure, I returned it due to how poor quality it was. I used it as a backdrop to hold a design of balloons, then since the party I use it as a "semi" partition in a bedroom.
