This Curt Manufacturing Class III Receiver was extremely easy to install! I installed it on a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo. The hardest part was trying to get my father-in-law to listen instead of cutting corners and taking "long-cuts"! He insisted we didn't have to lower the tire all the way, so I spent half of the time trying to get him to hold a dangling tire away from the receiver so that I could tighten the bolts! It was extremely easy to install; it would have been a breeze had we removed the tire LIKE THE DIRECTIONS INSTRUCTED lol. I more-or-less used his help because he wanted to help, but I could have EASILY installed this by myself. The instructions say installation time for a novice would be 120 minutes. I am no professional, so I suppose I would fall under the novice category. Had I not had to deal with my father-in-law, I could have easily had this installed in 45 minutes. After installing this receiver and using it several times, I'm very pleased with it. It is very sturdy and finely constructed! I have installed a receiver before (the kind that mounts on both sides of the frame) and I cannot tell you how much easier this is! The only way they could make installation easier is if they installed it themselves! Also, I LOVE that the nuts are welded to the hitch; this feature, along with mounting to the cross-frame instead of on the sides, makes installation a one-man job instead of a two-man job. It is worth noting that I only had to remove the two "plastic push fasteners" that were closest to the hitch and it provided plenty of room to work with. Both fasteners I removed broke and I had to use the fasteners provided to replace them. They did not fit as snugly as the OEM fasteners, but they suffice. Also, I watched the installation video by Curt Mfg. and they said the washers were provided to place in-between the receiver and the frame if you were unable to tighten it firmly. They said you may not need to install and that it would probably be tight enough without them. I installed it without the washers and it fit perfectly. All in all, I am extremely satisfied with this receiver and i have no complaints.

this is the exact same model installed by Mopar if you order it from the dealer, but this is MUCH cheaper in price
