After reading about a few different com posters, I decided on this one. It was a bit bigger than expected so it doesn't sit on the counter. It was very easy to setup, just pour in the packaged compost material and add water. Like previously mention it was a bit bigger than expected, so it took some time to fill the machine with leftovers/garbage. If you're bigger than 2/3 people this will be good for you. After a few months of usage, here are my takes. The noise level isn't bad you'll need to stand next to it to even notice it. No issue with odors coming out of the machine. when you do open it doesn't smell like garage. For me, it smells like bread that is rising. I've already started using the compost in my garden. Great way to reduce waste and give back.

Great results! I have had this composter for 6 months now and am highly satisfied. No more compost mess, no stink, no fruit flies, and we have nice, ready-to-spread compost on a regular basis, so clean I even use it for indoor plants. We used to have to empty our compost almost daily and now we empty it once a month—amazing how much the food condenses when dried and how well the enzymes work to break it down. The only time it started to smell bad I found out I could just wipe the residue off the air filter with a tissue and the problem was solved. I haven’t had to actually put in a new filter yet and it’s in continual daily use. I happily recommend this product.

I did a lot of research prior to purchasing the Reencle composter. Unlike some high heat processes that destroy helpful organisms but do break down food, Reencle works on biology. IF you follow instructions, most scraps will be completely gone in 24 hours, having been decomposed to useful compost in a natural manner. The unit arrives with very clear instructions, but unfortunately many people just don't read the instructions. To successfully use the Reencle, you MUST understand you are facilitating a biological process that does require attention to things such as the level of ingredients in the unit, keeping filters clear, and monitoring for moisture, either over or under. I have had wonderful results! No odor. No mess. Great results!

This composter is fabulous. I have it right in my kitchen and you can't even hear it running and there is no smell. It's just the right size and fits neatly in the corner.

I’ve had this on my wish list for a long time before I decided to purchase it since it is definitely something you have to budget for. And when I took the plunge, it was really worth it. I was looking for a composter that didn’t just dry the organic matter but actually breaks them down and is usable as compost. Even though you can’t directly add the result into soil, it still does a lot more than the other dehydrating machines. The capacity was perfect for two people as we don’t have a lot of scraps but enough that we were filling our trash bin regularly. By using this machine we were able to cut down on our waste by 50%. It’s easy to set up and use and so far we had this for more than a year and nothing has broke. It doesn’t attract any insects and doesn’t smell at all. The noise level is minimal. Sometimes you hear it turning but that’s only if it’s overflowing or if you end up throwing something like corn husk in there and it becomes stringy. Would totally recommend this for family and friends who want an easy way to compost at home.

I've had it for a month now. It works pretty well. A little annoyance is the lid opens when I walk by sometimes and closes when I am still putting scrapes in. I don't know where the max fill line is located. I did not see any reference to where it was in the literature. Smells are like rising bread. Pleasant so far. Happy to make compost from scraps.

Great product! Makes compost in days supplements our garden well Doesn’t take up much space, no smell, and very quiet.

This is a great composter! Reduces odor works a lot faster than traditional composters and is able to compost a lot more foods including meat scraps. I only wish it were a little larger. It also works faster if you take the time initially to make sure food is in small pieces. The final product is garden ready.

Works well so far

I'd been through two other devices labelled as "kitchen composters", that were really nothing more than heat and grind devices... that produced pre-compost material. I picked up the Reencle last year after seeing the reviews and testimonials as being a more true composter. In the past year, i couldn't be more happier with the result. It just works without much effort. I take the resulting composter output and as recommended mix it with some black earth soil (i use a traditional compost tumbler unit) and then add back into the garden... much more efficient process and timlier than the "traditional" composting method. Very, very happy with it!

These machines have to be seen to be believed. You tip all your food waste in there (hard, soft, wet, dry - it doesn’t matter) and in a few days you have soft, crumbly, odourless compost. It’s really amazing.

I keep it in the kitchen, and it is slightly louder than my fridge, but not by much. The smell is mostly present when you open the lid, and will depend on how balanced your compost is. (took me few weeks to get rid of the yogurt smell after adding too much at once) after that I learned not to add too much stuff at once, but if i do it in smaller batches it handles all my organics no problem. So far I am very happy with the purchase and would buy it again.
