inDexable Square System, 6 Inch Combination Square, Feature Packed Combo Woodworking Tool

While this is one of the most expensive combination squares available, it is one of those things that you really do get what you pay for. This is definitely not worth buying if you are a DIY specialist, but if you build custom furniture or work in high end custom building, it won’t disappoint.

Really good combo square you can trust To be square. I didn’t think the indexing feature was something I would use a lot but it’s come to be my favorite part of this tool.

When they say that craftsmanship is 80% the tools you have and 80% patience and 20% luck, this is the tool they are talking about. I wish I could afford every one of Woodpeckers tools.

good product and a nice sturdy build which feels good in the hand.. but it's just too expensive. Problems I have: the anvil should be longer to better accommodate scribing along a reference edge. the indexing function has limited utility; many of the scribe marks I need to make are never quite 1" to begin with. the thick blade introduces parallax error, because the ruler marks are at least 1/8" away from the material. ie: you can't see where you're marking very well. I wish they would have run the marks all the way around the blade to compensate for this. and then lastly, this square is so expensive I find myself rarely using it, and instead reaching for my empire square because it's expendable. my empire square also has 4 scales (all imperial) for more precise measurements. all and all, I can't rate this lower than a 4 because it IS a quality build. But for the price I would expect this square to do everything I could imagine and more. and it doesn't. it's well built, but you can get the same results at 50% the cost.
