Color Wow Raise the Root has become a staple in my hair routine. As someone who has noticed changes in my hair's thickness and texture over the years, I'm always looking for products that can help create lift and volume without making my hair feel weighed down. I spray it at the roots on damp hair before blow drying, and it gives my hair noticeable lift and body, especially around the crown. Unlike some root-lifting products I've tried, it doesn't leave my hair sticky, crunchy, or stiff. What I love most is that the volume looks natural. My hair still moves and feels soft, but it has much more fullness and height. It also works beautifully with other styling products and doesn't leave buildup. If you have fine, thinning, or limp hair and are looking for a product that helps boost volume where you need it most, I highly recommend giving this one a try. As a Southern woman, I appreciate a little extra height and volume, and this product definitely delivers. It's one of those products I continue to repurchase because it consistently works.

I applied this on damp hair, blow dried it with a round brush (to create a blow out effect), then I applied my overnight heatless curling rods and went to sleep. I loved the result! As I was blow drying it, I did see a lift in the roots. As I was grabbing strands of hair to dry, the thickness of the root was significant. Roots felt super plush and full. It does leave some sort of thickening residue because the roots feel very full upon touch, but the residue is not sticky or visible- I'm not sure how to explain it. Like if you try to run your fingers through your roots, you'll feel some resistance from the fullness, but it's not sticky. I blow dried my roots with the round brush, but did not see as much lift as the video in the listing of this product. I think I have to play around with technique. In the morning, I went to the gym/sweated and I could still see pretty good lift in my roots. Next, I want to try this for when I style hair right before going out- I think I'll see better results this way as I can style and go. I feel like this would hold the fullness very well and I could see the true potential of this product. My first use was done with overnight curls and I saw good results, but I think it'll work even better when it's freshly styled. I'd def recommend this product.

This is a simple spray bottle that you can use to spray the liquid on the roots of your bangs to make them thicker and fuller and to lift the hair so it just looks better! With aging can come a thinning of the hair in the bangs area. I know I suffer from it and was at a loss as to what to do. Then I found this and it helps with the texture of the hair and seems effective to strengthen the roots so when you blow dry your bangs it improves your appearance. If you have oily hair you will appreciate this even more as it doesn't add a lot of oils and moisture like some mousse products can. My bangs are the first thing to get oily a day after a shower and it is annoying to be honest. This does something to help with that problem as well although I don't know the exact mechanism only the results. So your hair will just look healthier longer! As someone with baby fine, stick straight hair I am always looking for more volume. I have purchased this product on repeat numerous times, and keep coming back to it as one of the best I have found for my hair. You need to be willing to use a little bit of heat to really get the benefits. Even when I want a wash and go ease, I throw my head upside down and use the dryer for 2 minutes just to activate the product. It works great, does not leave my hair feeling heavy or sticky and still leaves it feeling reasonably clean the following day. I would definitely recommend for fine hair.

After only a few hours, the product becomes very gritty feeling, and your hair will feel dry and porous to the touch. If you read the ingredients, the first one is denatured alcohol. The rest are other chemicals like polymers. The next morning after using it, my hair felt gummy at the roots where the product had been applied, and it looked dry and dull. My scalp also felt itchy. I didn’t want to risk any further damage or breakage, so I immediately tried to shampoo it out. When I got my hair wet in the shower, it felt weird to the touch, like it had something bonded to it. The first shampoo didn’t remove the buildup or icky coated feeling. I shampooed a second time, something I never do, and it started to feel slightly better, but I could still feel something wasn’t right with my hair. Usually after shampooing, it feels clean and smooth. I didn’t want to do a third shampoo, so I used my regular conditioner and hoped for the best . After blowdrying my hair, it still looked dull and had none of its regular shine or softness which is not at all how my hair usually looks and feels after washing it. The gritty, gummy, feeling at the roots was gone and so was the itching, but my hair still doesn’t feel like it did before I used this product. It definitely damaged my hair. I wish I had checked out the ingredients more thoroughly before buying it. I noted that most of the reviewers who posted a photo or video did so immediately after styling, following their first use of the product, which is when it looks and feels its best. After only a few hours of being in your hair, that’s when the damaging effects will start to appear. This product is getting super over-hyped on social media by influencers. please don’t make the same mistake I did and fall for it . If you need lift at the roots, just use a good quality hairspray and styling products. I reached out to ColorWow with my concerns, and they offered to exchange this product for a different one if I return it. However, after reviewing the list of similar sounding ingredients in their other formulations, I’m going to take the financial hit and the lesson to be more careful in the future. I spent $25 on some thing that is genuinely terrible and should be pulled from the market.

This product is really good for fine hair, it contains alcohol so it’s a bit drying, but it really thickens hair! I only use a few sprays at the crown & massage it in. After watching their review videos I almost didn’t buy it, they were no convincing at all! But I’m glad I tried this-I Highly recommend WOW raise the root
