I'm able to charge my phone while using it as a poor-man's DAC to play music through my old stereo system. The connection is stable and I haven't heard any popping, hiss, etc. I know this isn't an audiophile device, but neither is a smartphone. This sure beats the hell out of Bluetooth though, and you can still charge your phone. I've been thinking of using an old phone as a dedicated media storage device until I get an actual dedicated one. The design is very durable and the components are housed in metal housings. Magnets are built into them which holds the two ends together, which is more handy than I originally thought. Old stereo systems can become a mess of wires pretty quickly and when you include a 2.5mm to 1/4" adapter to connect the old stereo-in plug to the amp it's a lot. This little device is perfect for my needs. I haven't noticed any heating issues but I have a dedicated amp. I'm using this as an adapter and I don't know how it would perform if you tried to power speakers directly. I think the value is great and the shipping was fast enough that I didn't move on to another project for a few weeks. It's a great buy and already paid for itself. I'm using VLC on my phone (free) to play my mp3 files, but you can use whatever you like if you don't care about owning music. Review: A class above the rest - TLDR: I've tried several other products, and this one has held up the best! I have experience with numerous 2-in-1 USB C to 3.5mm audio adapters. There was a time when i was buying 4 or 5 of them a year because they would go bad so quickly. The biggest issues i've experienced with other brands has been either (a) audio interference when you also have power plugged in, or (b) the cables themselves becoming shorted out. This product is more durable than any other i've tried. It also has great playback quality with no weird interference, buzzing, etc. The magnet function is actually helpful (not just a gimmick) - i think its part of what kept these wires from shorting out for so long. Because of the way i use these (listening to audio all night every night while sleeping), they all do eventually wear out. But this one easily lasted 5 times as long as any other ## Features - 2 in 1 Listening While Charging: UGREEN USB C to 3.5mm headphone and charger adapter allows you to listen to music, make calls, play games, or watch videos while fast charging your device. I believe I was mistaken, though I haven't been able to test this in other vehicles. The sound cutting in and out 3-4 times during the first minute and occasionally (rarely) after is most likely due to the phone and/or car "fighting" to decide whether to use USB-C to Aux or Bluetooth. I don't think it has anything to do with the adapter itself. With that said, I don't have any issues with the adapter. The sound quality is perfect. Not only is the quality better than Bluetooth, it will allow you to play uncompressed, lossless audio. With Amazon Music, Spotify, Tidal, etc., supporting lossless audio at a minimum of 24-bit/44.1kHz FLAC, it's one of the best ways to get what you pay for. It makes a very noticeable difference. It's also great that it has the charging port with it. The magnetic dongles are also a nice addition that helps with cable management. I've used this daily for months and the USB-C connection hasn't had any issues and still fits and holds like when it was new. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/618708107-ugreen-magnetic-2-in-1-usb-c-to-3-5mm](https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/618708107-ugreen-magnetic-2-in-1-usb-c-to-3-5mm) --- *Product available on Desertcart Panama* *Store origin: PA* *Last updated: 2026-11-01*
