If they would use slightly more reinforced cardboard or double box the items it would be a better way to ship. I had to straighten 3 tabs. Really efficient burn BUT beware you will want the top/bottom accessory if you are planning to burn leaves or cardboard/paper as the ash will kick up in the air. Against a tree line/dry grass, this could be dangerous. Manufacturer should consider selling a complete kit or addons for sale on desertcart as it seems like it drop ships directly from the manufacturer. Definitely great to not have to break up every stick and really easy to add items. Very tall compared to a drum. Just be careful to not touch the sides when reaching in if you are on the shorter side. I really like the ease of use to put together/tear down. I like that it stores flat directly against the back of my wood pile. Review: FIL likes it - Got this for my father in law and he likes it. Great for burning brush. ## Features - Made in USA with American Steel. - Largest portable incinerator available - Uniquely angled slots provide excellent rigidity for a stronger design and superior airflow - American Steel construction is nearly 2x thicker than competitive models to resist heat and stand up to heavy use - Clever tab and slot design enables easy assembly with no tools or hardware needed ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | #823,811 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ( See Top 100 in Patio, Lawn & Garden ) #1,496 in Fire Pit & Outdoor Fireplace Parts | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 out of 5 stars 42 Reviews | ## Images ![Bad Idea Pyro Cage 48" XXL Incinerator Barrel (lid and Riser not Included - Sold Separately at proudpyro.com) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81rvxmGPP1L.jpg) ![Bad Idea Pyro Cage 48" XXL Incinerator Barrel (lid and Riser not Included - Sold Separately at proudpyro.com) - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/8186dMwSldL.jpg) ![Bad Idea Pyro Cage 48" XXL Incinerator Barrel (lid and Riser not Included - Sold Separately at proudpyro.com) - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71sGvipPR8L.jpg) ![Bad Idea Pyro Cage 48" XXL Incinerator Barrel (lid and Riser not Included - Sold Separately at proudpyro.com) - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71M1tMEOwZL.jpg) ![Bad Idea Pyro Cage 48" XXL Incinerator Barrel (lid and Riser not Included - Sold Separately at proudpyro.com) - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61jgxzEB3qL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Does include the floor and the lid?** A: This listing is for the panels only. The lid and riser base are accessories available direct from the manufacturer. **Q: I have a lot of debri. Is it safe to burn wood, clothes and plastics?** A: Our experience is with wood and leaves. Works great for this but I don’t know about plastic. Found out that the bad idea works better when raised with a paver at each joint. Would buy again. **Q: Does this come with a Lid? or is a Lid available?** A: Mine did not come with a lid. I am not aware of an available lid. **Q: What are the dimensions?** A: The interior dimensions are 35" in diameter by 47" tall. Thanks! ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Made in the USA quality and support, More efficient than a 55gal drum! *by M***I on July 26, 2022* On arrival one of the tabs in the β€œstack” were bent due to the way they shipped the unit. Great for burning brush. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent! *by S***T on October 16, 2020* After raking our yard each fall, we burn our fall leaves. Having used burn barrels for this (to contain the fire), we found this incinerator MUCH more efficient. Not only does it hold nearly five times as much volume, it burns the leaves several times faster and more completely. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/61872356-bad-idea-pyro-cage-48-xxl-incinerator-barrel-lid-riser](https://www.desertcart.com.pa/products/61872356-bad-idea-pyro-cage-48-xxl-incinerator-barrel-lid-riser) --- *Product available on Desertcart Panama* *Store origin: PA* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
