Can it be used when the console is placed vertically?

Yes. The cooling fan is designed to function properly whether the console is positioned vertically or horizontally, maintaining effective rear airflow in either orientation.

Does the fan have indicator lighting?

Yes. A blue LED indicator remains on while the fan is operating to show active cooling status. The light is steady and non-flashing.

Why does the fan run at first and then stop?

On power-on, fan enters Auto Mode, runs low speed 2–3 min for temp calibration. After detection: 43°C—high (5000 RPM). Fan may stop if console temp low. Normal behavior.

Can the fan run when the PS5 is turned off?

The fan operates based on the console’s power supply. When the PS5 is completely powered off, the fan will also shut down. If the console remains in Rest Mode and continues supplying power, the fan may remain active.
