You have to try this Berry!
These are amazing. They work exactly as stated. I cut the berry in half, removed the seed then ate only one half at a time. I felt eating the entire berry was too sweet. Chew the berry making sure to coat your tongue well. Wait about 3-4 minutes before eating something. My first try was with a lemon. To my surprise, the lemon was nice and sweet. I actually made lemonade without sugar! I know people who use the Miracle Berry to help them lose weight. Caution! Do not eat the little white seed in the middle of the berry, it’s disgusting. Guess how I know? 😬

A mixed bag of results, but fun!
I’ve wanted to try these for ages, and I’m thrilled we finally did. I made sure we had plenty of foods on hand before diving in with my spouse and kids. A tip: don’t bite into the seed. It’s incredibly bitter. I had no trouble avoiding it, but the kids kept hitting it by accident. After letting the berries dissolve, we started testing. The kids were less adventurous, but I tried a bit of everything. Citrus was the standout; lemons tasted like lemon drops and limes were absolutely delicious, like sweet limeade. BBQ sauce suddenly tasted like it had a ton of brown sugar, and vinegar lost its sourness and took on a weird sweet tinge. Mustard was just plain weird. These really shine with acidic or sour foods; they don’t make sweet things (like cake) taste any sweeter. They worked great for me, while my spouse had a less intense reaction. The kids loved the whole “magic trick” aspect and already want another pack. The berries themselves are small, bland, and have a typical freeze-dried texture. The size is perfect and the 20-count pack is plenty since you’re not meant to snack on them like candy. They’re definitely on the pricey side for a novelty, but we had a blast experimenting. I wouldn’t buy them regularly, but I’d consider them again if the value improved.

Works!
They work! We waited about 3 minutes to let it kick in then tried lemon juice and dill pickles

Seems to work for some people, just not for me
I've heard of these things and thought this would be a great entry point into the world of Miracle Berry (Synsepalum dulcificum -- looked it up). Some people say it's the greatest thing since the discovery of sugar; others say it doesn't do anything. I seem to fall into the camp that find it a big disappointment. Removed the seed, chewed the flesh of the berry thoroughly (which to me has exactly no taste at all), then tried different foods for simulated sweetness. Nothing. Lemon was still sour with its normal slight bitterness, lime was too tart to drink, and so on. Mixed in with a small amount of citrus yielded no different results. The science of this berry seems to be pretty solid but this won't be an experiment I'll be repeating. Naturally, YMMV.

Works well, individual wrap is useful to carry.
Works well! Dried fruit quality seems good. Super useful that it is individually packed. It would be nice if the fruit were cut in half though. Halved fruit work just as well as whole one.

These are WILD!
I've always been curious about miracle fruit, and the name isn't a lie. These berries really do make sour things taste sweet. The directions say to let the berry get soft in your mouth, and then roll it around on your tongue to coat it. They are not sugary themselves, but have a very light sweetness. It warns about biting the seed, as it can be bitter. I didn't have any problems with this. I did have trouble trying not to swallow any bits of berry that came off the seed. I wanted to let it sit there to get the best chance at something happening. Thankfully these are individually wrapped, so I can enjoy them at my own pace without them all going stale. I'm still blown away by how well these worked for me. The first thing I tried it on was pineapple juice. It became as sweet as sugar, without any sour taste on my tongue. I kind of got it in the back of the throat where I couldn't get the berry. Extremely vinegar heavy pickle juice because disgustingly sweet, with a burning after taste. This applied to all straight the vinegars I tried. I felt crazy just taking tiny shots of vinegar, but it was worth trying them all. Have trouble downing those apple cider vinegar shots in the morning? Not anymore. The burning sensation is still there on the way down, and it certainly still gets up in your nose. The actual taste is sweet with that slight vinegar burning tinge, and you can almost get the actual apple flavor. Straight white vinegar tasted akin to lemon juice. White white tasted strange, but not bad. Rice wine tasted grossly sweet. My favorite was my good quality balsamic vinegar. It became sweet like a balsamic glaze, and you could really taste the grape. By far and away, my favorite thing I tried was my whole milk plain greek yogurt. It took on a lovely sweetness. I added some raspberry jam to it, which had become candy sweet. Neither was tart at all. Combined, my breakfast basically turned into a dessert. Absolutely bonkers. These berries are definitely a fun little gimmick that I recommend trying at least once to see if they work for you. My mind was blown, and I had a lot of fun trying these out on anything I could. I feel like the price is ok per berry for something that was very cool to experiment with. YMMV.

NOT what I expected.
These come in a good amount and good size. They last a long time, but oh it’s so not worth the money. Sometimes they work, sometimes not. Me and my mom tried it then lemon juice, and it was the absolute worst thing I have ever tasted in my life, but the only reason it got even two stars was because my dad and sister tried it, and said the lemon juice tasted like very sugary lemonade. It definitely doesn’t last an hour though, more like a day. My breakfast the next day tasted like the miracle berries.
