Fantastic Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle
I purchased this water bottle because I was looking for a stainless steel option to use while biking. I wanted to avoid plastic and reduce my exposure to microplastics leaching into my water. At $49, I was initially hesitant, but I decided to give Bivo a try—and I’m so glad I did. This is a fantastic water bottle. The water flow is excellent, making it easy to drink while cycling, and the insulated design performed really well. I used it while cycling in Italy in July 2026 during an unseasonable heatwave, when temperatures were in the high 90s °F most days. With some added ice, the insulated bottle kept my water nice and cool throughout my rides. I liked it so much that I now have two—one black and one silver. I highly recommend the Bivo bottle and plan to purchase more as gifts for family and friends. If you’re looking to ditch plastic and switch to stainless steel, Bivo is a great option!

Pricey, but glad I bought it
This bottle was worth the cost. Ice was still inside after my bike ride, keeping my drink cold. The true test was a day when the temperature was 100 and the heat index was 108. The ice did melt, but the drink was cool. I used 2 of these bottles on my 7 day bike ride across my state. A few bikers asked me about my bottles, so I told them all about it. Now my son wants one. I keep water in one and electrolytes in the other. I really like the blue color. If I put anything fizzy in, there is a little leak. I try to wait til it stops fizzing and then put the lid on. They cleaned up nicely after using 7 straight days on bike rides.

Fantastic. Cold, easy to drink, easy to clean, and robust.
These are great. Keep drinks cold for hours on rides, better than anything I have ever tried. The drinking system and flow rate alone is awesome -- no plastic bidon has anything that comes close. 2 considerations one must understand -- They are obviously heavier than plastic bottles. If weight is your primary concern these may not be for you. The other is that they need strong bottle cages if going over rough terrain or they can bounce out, and then bottle could get dented. Bivo has some suggested cages on their website and after switching, mine are locked in (I use Tacx Deva Bottle Cage, and Specialized Zee Cage 2, and both work well). However the strengths far outweigh. First the insulation is suberb, and thats comparing to non sport specific double wall insulated stainless steel bottles. If I put more than 8 cubes of ice in, it will be too much as they wont melt on a 3-4 hour ride. Second, stainless is so, so much more easier to clean than a plastic bottle. When riding and using electrolyte or carb powders, bottles can get funky even if you try hard to clean them. Not these, and you can take a strong brush to the insides... and you can throw them in the dishwasher if you need to. Third, did I mention the flow? pull up on the nozzle and you have high flow of liquid via gravity, no squeezing. Quick, safe hydration, wihout trying to bite, squeeze, and suck. I bought this one, then went and bought 4 more. Well done product.

No more plastic and ice cold drink.
It keeps the water nice and cold in the South Florida summer heat. I fill it up with about 1/4 ice and the rest cold water from the fridge and my Skratch Labs powder. The flow is excellent when using it. I like how easy it is to clean. I would recommend soaking and cleaning the silicon parts before your first use with some baking soda or vinegar to get off that initial taste. I just used soap and water the first time and that taste was not good. Got home and soaked it in some white vinegar and now the taste is gone. I gave it only 4-stars because I ordered them in black and the coating already is getting scratched up after the first use. I don’t see the coating lasting that long. Other than that, they are great bottles and no more microplastics from plastic bottles.

Better than the Camelbak Podium
I bought one of these and a Camelbak Podium. You need two bottles for longer rides, so I thought I'd see which is best. Pros - Keeps fluids pretty cold, especially if you use ice and put it in the fridge ahead of time - Find myself drinking more because the drink is cold and tastes good - About as tall as a normal plastic bottle Cons - Hard to get out of some bottle cages Differences with the Podium - Bivo is 21oz vs Camelbak 22oz - Bivo is 60g lighter - Bivo is nearly an inch shorter, this matters on TCR type frames, which a lot of bikes are now. - Bivo has a traditional push/pull valve, Camelbak has twist valve. I found this was more important than I realized to keep drinks cool. I would close the Bivo after each drink, but leave the Camelbak open. - Bivo is tapered at the bottom to get in and out of cages easier - Bivo has a much wider mouth for adding powders - Bivo pours more freely - Bivo comes with low profile cage bolts in case yours stick up, so you don't scratch your nifty new bottle up. Bivo also comes with a straw cleaner. Overall, they are both great options for keeping your drink cool as the heat goes up. The Bivo is worth the extra $5 though.

Stays cold!
Light-weight plastic insulated cycling bottles have always failed to keep water cold after 1.5 hours in warm weather. I love this Bivo for the back cage on long rides so that my second bottle is cold. I use a lighter-weight first insulated bottle for the front cage / first use. Also very handy on walks, at the gym, and by the pool on hot days.

Most durable, versatile H2O bottle available
Colder water/fluids, comes with a silicone cleaning thread/string to clean the internal silicone tube, empties faster than a plastic water bottle if that’s what you need, uses much less BPA-free, recycled plastic, very difficult to puncture. Fits virtually any cycling bottle holder on the market - plastic or aluminum. Internal silicone tube can be removed and attached on the outside for use in sports that require a helmet or rigid face protection. Highly recommend the insulated versions.

Nice but rattles in most cages
This bottle is an excellent concept but sadly it doesn’t fit well with a lot of cage designs without being too tight or rattling incessantly. Really needs a soft outer layer of some sort. A problem perhaps not an issue with some cages but you’d have to shop around. Otherwise it keeps liquids cold and the water flow is fantastic.

Keeps water cold for hours!
I wish I switched from plastic water bottles for cycling much sooner. These are excellent. They resist mold and are much cleaner and they keep water cold for hours even in seriously hot weather. They're certainly heavier than plastic bottles but worth it. The grippy rubberized coating works well to grab the bottle while riding and they stay in my side-loader bottle cages very well. Well worth carrying the few extra grams and easily worth the cost. I used these for crossfit, in my car and throughout the day. They aren't just for cycling! Black is a go-to colour but I wish they had a some other interesting colours. Matt pink or grey!

Not worth it
After the first use I realized the sealing ring in the lid was missing, causing my drink to leak constantly. Tried contacting manufacturer via email, no response. Tried to order replacements from their website, they do not ship to Canada. Why sell in a country if you can't provide spare parts? And why am I paying a premium for this? Poor customer service.
