Book 2
Awe, this was even better than the first. They are fast reads, but full of story. They are quite spicy, but not smutty. The main characters have great banter and had me laughing pretty often. The best friend Harper is also a star in the book. They wrapped it up well. I really enjoyed this series.

Good Read with a Twist That Left Me Wanting More
Once You’re Mine by Morgan Bridges was a good read, but I have to say—I was way more hooked on the first book. This one had its sweet moments, and the ending was definitely cute, but the twist felt a little rushed. It popped up and then disappeared so quickly that I was left wanting more explanation or buildup.Still, it was enjoyable overall. The romance was solid, and I liked seeing how things wrapped up. Just wish that twist had more time to shine! If you loved the first book, it’s definitely worth reading—just go in with slightly different expectations.

Another overhyped TikTok rec
I wanted to love this. I really did.It felt like the author was trying too hard to make the MMC fit what she thought her audience would be looking for but it didn’t feel natural and ended up making a lot of his dialogue really cringey. The conversations between Harper and Calista felt very immature, the author making them sound like middle schoolers rather than college age women (with the exception of Harpers provocative comments.) There was no character development for the MMC, and whoever edited this book and the first of the series needs to be fired immediately. There were multiple sentences with extra or missing words, which is inexcusable being this is a traditionally published novel. The story line was just interesting enough for me to read both books to find out how it ended, but I wouldn’t say it was one that I’d recommend.

A Very Satisfying Ending!
The second installment, NOW YOU'RE MINE was every bit as great as the first book, if not better.Hayden is just as obsessed and behaves as irrational as ever where Calista is concerned, and nothing has changed now that the secret of him being her stalker is out in the open. Calista still finds herself drawn to Hayden, in spite of his secrets and lies. She is conflicted throughout this book as she tries to unpack what exactly Hayden means to her. Especially when the REAL truth comes to light! (no spoilers, read the first book!)The struggle and power exchange between this couple is electric. At times, Hayden even made me so angry with his domineering attitude to control every aspect of Calista's life; from what she wore to what she ate. Including, her bedtime! The "push and pull" reaches erotic heights. Book Two is definitely spicier than the first.Hayden! My, my, my... this man may be a sociopath but the way he loved up on Calista... every woman should be so lucky as to be on the receiving end of his bedside manner of "crazy".What impressed me the most about this book was how well Hayden's character was written. Despite the growing feelings he had for Calista and the times he displayed a modicum of vulnerability, Hayden NEVER BROKE CHARACTER. Not once! Hayden remained the same throughout both books. Too many times in stalker novels, the author feels compelled to show the MMC evolving into this bad-guy-turned-good, finding redemption from his irrational behavior. I am so glad that Bridges left Hayden as is; the possessive, control freak that he has been from the start.Hayden and Calista's chemistry from the start of this duet could not be denied and their unique dynamic gave the ending, and Calista's love for him, with all of his flaws and faults, more credibility. Hayden was correct when he stated that he and Calista are 'inevitable'. While you may or may not agree with the decisions or actions of either character, you cannot deny that the consistency of their behaviors throughout their dysfunctional, albeit tumultuous relationship was credible and brilliantly written. On this alone, this book is very deserving of five stars!A very satisfying HEA and a bonus epilogue is available should you choose to get a peek into their future. This is definitely a book duet that you will eat up in literally two days. I need more from this author! Morgan Bridges is definitely one of the new authors to watch for in the upcoming year! I can't wait to read more of her work!Happy reading!

ok, yes!
I was fairly disappointed in book 1! I like the story line but found it lacking in so many way. I felt that it shouldn’t have been considered a dark romance at all, there was 1% smut 99% story line! BUT I actually dug book 2! The plot was HOT, always had something happening and even added some smut too it! Not nearly as much as some other books, but all and all it was a good series!
