good for thin stems

Powerful
It turned up next day which I found refreshing considering I had been waiting nearly two weeks for my last Amazon order. It cuts through thick privet like a knife through butter. The only issue I have is the safety switch is temperamental so I have to squeeze extremely hard or jiggle it to get it to run. It's not a huge issue since it is a used unit but it did cost a star on the review scale. Nice compact design and the rotating bar is very welcome. On the first occasion using it the weight of the machine started to become a problem as I pulled a muscle in my arm (but saying that, it's been roughly 20 years since I needed to use a hedge trimmer).

Qualcast is excellent
Used for hedge cutting mainly. Have had a Qualcast hedge cutter for over 30 years and has always done first class job so when a new one was required no hesitation it had to be Qualcast.
