I love this coffee filter. I have a 5-cup coffee maker. I have tried several different brand before trying out this Melitta filters. What a difference. There might be suble difference in taste of coffee but i can't tell, but there is a huge difference in functionality. It is generous in size, but not too large, so that i don't get coffee grounds in my coffee any more. And i believe the paper is a little ticker than other supermarket ones. Overall, i love these filter. The only wish is that I wish i discover this brand many months ago.

The Melitta filters are excellent. Unfortunately, the box in which they are packaged was crushed. I’m grateful that the filters are made of paper and not glass. Amazon should rethink sending such an item in an envelope.

I've been using these for years and I'm serious about my coffee, I store fresh high quality beans in an Airscape Cannister, grind the exact amount to the correct grind for autodrip for my machine (that takes the #4 filters) or for my single cup drip cone which takes these #2 filters. I prefer the unbleached brown filters because the bleached ones give the coffee a chlorine taste and odor (at least it does for me). I use these at home and on long camping trips where I take preground (the morning I leave) coffee in my smaller Airscape. I've never had a Melitta filter burst or have had grounds in my coffee because I've always folded the seams down along the side and base (like it says on the package). It's weird, all of the product video/reviews here show the filters being used without folding the seams — which is incorrect use. Clean up of the compostable filters is a breeze (and the coffee grounds are great for your plants). The micro-perforations in the filter body create great water flow for flavorful coffee, the paper is thick enough and I consider these extremely fairly priced. Melitta has always made great products, these filters are no exception, easy to use at home or with a camp breakfast, durable, if you follow the directions and extremely easy to use.

These brown filters are better, because they are natural unbleached paper. That is why I use them.

Once you try these filters you can never go back to anything else. These make coffee taste even more delicious even though I don't know exactly how it actually happens. All I know is that when I started to run out of these I felt the impulse to get more quickly. I normally have one mug of coffee a day in the morning. What I like about these cone filters is that they stay in place even with all that steam and water flowing through them. The coffee grounds never escape and coffee is just pure and simple and delicious. I was so happy these arrived on time because I was nearly out today! It didn't help that my husband saw my half-empty coffee cup sitting on the counter and threw it out so he could put the cup in the dishwasher. Arggg So I had to make a second cup of coffee. Love these filters. They don't fall as you're pouring the water. Such a quick coffee that is as close to a barista coffee as I can get.
