I LOVE THIS SOAP BAG! It fits my HUGE rectangle soap that never it's in any bag and I love how thin the material is. It helps the soap lather. Love it!

I like this Mars Made Soap Saver Bag, but there's really nothing special about it. I think for the price it would be nice to get both the shampoo and conditioner bags rather than only one. I've never used hair shampoo or conditioner bars so I can't speak to how well these bags would work for that purpose. If you normally rub the bar directly in your hair, I would think the bag would get tangled as it's not as smooth; if you suds up your hand and then shampoo your hair, it will work. However, I am already a fan of soap saver bags for body soap as they're great to use up every last bit of your soap bars. And since discovering loofah type soap bags, I no longer use the bag just for the leftover soap bits; I put my regular bar of soap in there as well to take advantage of the exfoliation from the loofah. Although the description didn't mention any exfoliation, I was hoping the open weave of this cotton bag might be exfoliating as well. Unfortunately, it's not which is a bit disappointing. I can get multiple loofah soap saver bags for the price of one of these bags. It is a very well-made bag that might end up lasting a bit longer than my loofah bags but still not enough to justify the cost. I also like that it's from natural materials, but my loofah bags are as well. I was surprised by how well the bag held on to the soap lather considering how thin the cotton is, although my thicker loofah bags suds up a bit more. I do appreciate that the drawstring stays nice and tight; I've had bags that come open as you're using them which is a bit of an annoyance when you've got little bits of bar soap in there. It's also very practical to hang it by the drawstring and the open weave combined with hanging it allows the soap to dry out a lot easier than sitting in a soap dish. It does have a cute alien label on the bag to add a bit of whimsy which I like. If you're okay with the price tag and no exfoliation, this is a cute, well-made soap saver bag.

It was difficult to put the soap into the bag because the opening didn't seem to be large enough. Once I wet the shampoo and bag, it almost seemed like the bag was absorbing the lather. The thickness of the bag made it difficult to get any lather started. I ended up moving the shampoo into a different, thinner bag which works much better.

Perfect for bar soap, shampoo, or conditioner.

Bought for the alien, stayed for the functionally.
