I am able to fit my phone and phone stand on it. But I highly suggest not setting heavy books/items on it (like my spiral medical coding books, for example) to avoid weakening the structure (just to be safe). I have yet to use my labtop on it yet. I have not used the cup holder cube yet either, but it looks like the holes could fit some pretty big stuff.In the future, I plan on using it for activities like writing in my journal, drawing, or using some coloring books I have.
