I can't speak to the capabilities or limitations of competing products; all I know is that for a little over $250, I now have an IR camera that lets me see things in my house that I could never see before. It's sturdy and incredibly easy to use- just insert it into the USB-C port, download the app, and get started. It adds a little bulk to your phone, but this isn't exactly something you'll want or need to keep attached to it at all times anyway. Power comes from your phone, so battery life isn't an issue.Depending on the time of day (i.e. the amount of ambient heat in and around my house), I can see the studs behind the drywall. I can see which electrical outlets are leaking more heat than others, and thus need to be rewired. I can see where the hot water lines run into the manifold behind the drywall. It shows the temperature of the area you're pointing at, as well as the surrounding temperature if there's a significant variance.Again, I'm not an expert, just a homeowner who was tired of having to rely on professionals or tear out drywall to discover basic information about how my house is constructed. Considering the cost and inconvenience of even minor repair work, this was an absolute no-brainer for me. If you're a fan of the Predator movies like I am, you'll appreciate it all the more. :)

Plug and play—no setup or drivers needed. It was very easy to install and use right out of the box. Everything worked perfectly, and it saved me a lot of time. Great product!

Great thermal camera. Accurate enough when compared with FLIR brand cameras, well within noise margins. It's not as good as thermocouples, but its not as expensive and time consuming either. Important to note that this thermal camera doesn't take anywhere near as long to boot as most FLIR cameras do. For a quick validation test, you really cant go wrong here. And while I wouldn't trust the absolute accuracy is within 1C (Closer to 5C, but that's true for most thermal cameras), the relative accuracy and resolution is great for the price. Puches well above its cost, $2,000 cameras being on par with this is impressive. Never anticipated reaching for this over a FLIR E50. If you ever need someone to test out the next gen thermal camera, just reach out!

I mainly use this gadget for my graphic installations. It connects right to my phone, letting me scan and make sure my vinyl’s getting hot enough during post-heating. Works great for that purpose! I even tested it out one night in a cemetery full darkness and something that looked like an opossum popped up on the scan. Scared the life outta me, but hey, it proved the thing works!I’m giving it four stars because the image feed can lag now and then; I just wish it responded a bit quicker. But overall, it’s a solid little tool and definitely worth the money.

I purchased this as a nice gift for my husband for the house. He had a named brand all-in-one thermal camera for work that he’s had for years and likes it. I thought this would be handy for around the house. He loved it! It synced well with his phone. He could see things much better with this than with his expensive one at work. He absolutely loved it and bragged about it to others.

First of all, I've been waiting far too long to get a thermal imager. This one offers a usb c connection to the newer iPhones (15 and up) meaning it attaches as an extension of the phone. It also includes a cable if you prefer using it a little further away.Reason I like these units rather than the standalone is:- you don't need to keep another thing charged- the "software" is as easily updated as the App Store app is updated and tends to be much much betterSo far, I have easily detected the following:1. the healing of a swollen foot (pictured),2. where the heck the leak was below the patio (pictured)3. why the tv room was so hot (pictured)4. where the cat was (pictured)5. where the "heat leaks" were from the attic (not pictured)For that alone, this easily saves much more than the list price, although when I purchased it was significantly discounted from list. Also included is a very handy and small soft carry box which protects the unit and houses the extension cables.Now for the caveats:1. The App. While the app is overall excellent, it is not up to par with top notch apps: the interface is a little clunky and the pictured "freezes" occasionally for a second or two while it recalibrates. This happens more when you first start using the unit but it happens pretty regularly as the calibration happens. I do hope they optimize that and make it "freeze free"2. The temperature read drifts by a few degrees so that the same object reads a different value. My guess is this is why the unit needs to recalibrate every so often.

Update- it worked really well… 3 times. For well over $200, I would expect to get more than 3 uses out of it! Now it just won’t connect to my phone at all. I open the app, plug it in, and the app keeps telling me to connect the device.This thing is awesome! I bought it because we had a rat that got into the house! I don’t do rodents! I was ready to move out! The rat was outsmarting all of the traps and I was genuinely losing my mind! We used this to figure out where the rodent was coming in to the house so we could block it! At first I was a little skeptical about whether it was legit or just showing some pretty contrast on the screen. lol But I put my hand on the wall and removed it and it showed a temperature difference, even after moving it away and bringing in back to where I had placed my hand for about 5 minutes! I couldn’t believe how sensitive it was! I highly recommend it you need to find a leaky air vent (also located one of those!) or find a rodent’s entryway, and I am 100% sure that it would also work outdoors to locate wildlife or really, whatever you want to find that would be a different temperature than its surroundings. It also comes in a really nice storage case to keep it safe when it’s not in use.

Horrible customer service. Infrared camera stopped working six months after I got it, called tech-support about two months after that and was told “iOS update“ and “we have no fix for that but we are working on it“.Recently, two months worth of chats and emails back-and-forth trying all of the “suggested“ fixes, camera does not work. Customer support said they would replace the camera, a week later I get a contact from another customer support specialist wanting to start all of the set up checks again. Received an email this morning that they will not replace it even though they stated that they would two weeks ago.Stay away from this company. Horrible customer support, total lack of integrity. Offers replacement then backed out. $300 wasted.EDITED- A different customer service rep reached out to try to make it right. Did step up. Stated they will review their policies and address poor customer service. Review upgraded from one star feels like they were genuinely concerned.

Got this for £11 from Amazon warehouse. Thought it was a joke but it works perfect and is brand new boxed. Weird. But excellent value. £220 off RRP.

I wasn’t sure about a phone based thermal camera as I do home inspections and the other inspectors are all using hand held thermal imagers but this camera rivals anything that the others can do. Clear pictures of in floor heating systems, base board heaters, ovens, electrical panels, etc.

面積はほぼ名刺サイズなので、少し厚めの金属製の名刺入れ(100均)に入れてます。仕事柄、色々な工具を持ち運びますが十分な性能。type-cなので手持ちの携帯に付けられるし、C3よりで画像共有も簡易だし、安価なのがいい。

Easy to operate once u figure everything out but just plug and play. So far works good and time will tell. Power works off of ur phone so no need to charge or put batteries in. Little expensive but if it lasts u’ll enjoy it. Picks things up at a good distance u’ll just have to play with the settings for a good pic. I like it.

こういう製品がAmazon様で気軽に手に入るなんてありがたい。サーモカメラが欲しかったけど、ガンタイプやコンデジみたいなタイプが安くても5万円台......庶民には気軽に買える値段じゃなかったけど、セールしていたので思い切って購入しました。主な用途はマンション室内の温度計測、熱橋の確認です。ガンタイプの赤外線温度計にてピンポイント計測するよりずっといいです。ビジュアルで温度分布が見れるというのが本当にいい！iPhoneに接続して大きい画面で見れる、というのも最高です。付属のケーブルを使えば片手にiPhone、片手はカメラという構えで自由に観察をする事ができます。
