Unfortunately I ran into the same issue with this belt when belt squatting as the side of the hanging straps would dig into my inner thighs. Rather than pay 3 times the price for the pillow belt from spud inc i simply wrapped/taped a double layer of pipe lagging foam around the straps edges and voila much more comfortable. Good points for this belt are the adjustable waist strap and the adequate padding on the belt itself.
