## Customer Reviews

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ You can use the old base with a current model.
*by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 23 June 2025*

The current alarm model, which comes with a ten year expiry date, fits perfectly in the old base, the part that is fixed on the ceiling, and can be connected using the old base's electricity supply plug. Therefore installation is very easy and one does not have to interfere with the 230 Volts supply.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Replacement
*by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 15 February 2020*

Purchased several of these to replace devices thad has exceeded their 10 year design life. They are easy plug replacements but it was necessary to also fit the supplied base plates as the new ones are lighter in colour.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Kidde Firex alarm
*by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 20 January 2026*

Excellent replacement for our old alarms. FitPerfectly and shouldLast another 10 years. A very bright green light helps in the dark. They come with batteries and although it was free delivery still £120 for 4. No others available at that price.
