Beautiful picture
Just got this tv. Wow, just wow. I watched A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, episode four, “Seven” which consisted almost entirely of dark, candlelight scenes and it was stunning. The foggy environment of the later part of the show was a revelation. It does need a dark environment. This is not a TV for a bright room, but if you can darken your room, you won’t be disappointed. I watched using an Apple TV with 4k Dolby Vision. 65”

TV with a lot of issues that are hard to overcome. Not worth the price.
Probably the worst TV we have had. We went from having a Phillips flat screen for 15 years that worked flawlessly. We got rid of it strictly because newer tvs had better features and also paired easier with other devices. This Sony randomly just restarts in the middle of tv shows. Frequently! No reason at all. It just powers down and back up again. Weirdest thing ever. One night it powered up at 3am when I was in bed and had been for hours. House was completely dark and silent. The TV just turned on. It was terrifying. (no kids or pets in the house that could have done it) The biggest complaint is that the sound is constantly off sync where you can see that the sound doesn't' match the lips. It's very distracting and hard to even focus on what you're watching. Tried customer service a couple of times and they removed over did a few tweaks, but nothing really stuck. We tried adding a sound bar to see if it would fix it, but that didn't help. It's unfortunate because the picture is nice.

Stunning picture quality and smooth performance!
I’ve been using this Sony 65-inch OLED for a few weeks now, and honestly, it exceeded my expectations in every way. The picture quality is absolutely breathtaking — deep blacks, bright highlights, and incredibly natural colors that make movies and games look lifelike. Dolby Vision really makes a difference, especially when streaming on Netflix or Disney+. The motion handling is super smooth, and even fast-action scenes look crisp without any blur. The sound quality is surprisingly good for built-in speakers, clear enough that I don’t even need an external soundbar most of the time. The Google TV interface is fast and easy to use, and the voice control works flawlessly. Setup was simple and took less than 10 minutes. The design is sleek and elegant — it looks amazing in my living room. Overall, this TV delivers a true premium experience. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants the best OLED quality and smart features in one package. Totally worth every penny! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Awesome TV made unusable by Google
I don’t know what I was thinking. It makes no difference that I can see the Sony picture is beautiful when it takes literally hours upon hours to set it up and it is a fight every single step of the way. Google is the worst tv interface on .. was going to say the planet, but let’s go with Universe. I will likely be sending a gorgeous tv back because it is impossible to setup. Shame on Sony for being lazy and not developing something with the quality their hardware has. I own an LG and a Samsung tv in other parts of the house and they were both a breeze to setup. Update: changed from 1 star to 4. I persevered in the fight with Google TV and finally got it fully configured. I stand by everything I initially said about the setup process, but want to now give a review of the Bravia 8, especially as it compares to my Samsung and LG tv’s. There is absolutely no comparison when it comes to picture quality. Especially regarding color accuracy and overall depth. The Sony is king by a huge margin. I run the Sony in professional mode and it is stunning. There is almost an extra sharpness brought about by such an accurate picture. We watch allot of Prime video content and the curated video settings are amazing. Anything other than the vivid setting on the Samsung or LG is washed out and disappointing. Now that it is setup it is easy to use and I recommend it. The Bravia app for my phone is the best app remote control I have ever used. In fact I rarely reach for the tv remote and just use my phone.

Overall terrific choice for an OLED Tv
Excellent Oled with fantastic blacks. Very well built and seems to be very high quality. The Sound quality is better than most other tv's. There are a myriad of settings to get used to like you can adjust each hdmi input in many ways. I started with vivid picture mode and dialed down brightness, contrast, color and temperature etc. I made many little adjustments over several weeks and now am very happy. Also, in the beginning there seemed to be weird issues with over the air broadcasts where Atsc 3.0 and the old Atsc 2.0 had different brightness (Nbc NX La and Ktla Hd was darker) but these issues disappeared after a few days. I have Sling tv and the build in Google app has much better picture quality than my 4k Roku stick. The only minor issue I have seen is the tv does not remember the favorites setting for over the air broadcasts but reverts to all channels when turned off.

First OLED TV 10/10
My first Sony product since the Ps2 lol. I’ve only had LG and Samsung TVs, this Sony TV is really nice idk what I’ve been doing this whole time. The TV it self is really light compared to what I’ve owned. The other brands are good, but the vibrant nature and richness of the picture is astounding, any kind of content I put on is always top notch quality and great clarity, it immerses you even more. The smart features of the TV was nice for set up, sign into your google account via phone and you’re all set up, haven’t really used it for anything else as I stream via Apple TV. Granted this is my first OLED tv so maybe I’m just easily impressed, overall a great TV. Note the sound is from my surround sound system not the tv it self, my phone also doesn’t capture the full richness of the TV picture is kind of overexposed, overall extremely satisfied with my purchase.

SONY TV, Google Operating system is garbage
The picture quality was AWESOME. The google operating system is crap. Sound intermittently drops out, when using Netflix or other apps. The Cable set top box control was completely random and intermittent. Google is used for all,of the control of this TV, EVERYTHING, picture adjustments, sound everything. Add in that you have to agree to at least 5 privacy releases for google to collect and sell your data. I spent 30 years as an equipment start up application engineer, I don’t give up on making systems work properly. If you look into forums you will see the sound drop out is a widespread problem. I am VERY disappointed that Sony made the decision to use google for the total operating system of this TV. If it had the option to just operate as a dumb monitor I would have been happy with that, I can easily control apps via a fire stick. I retuned this TV and purchases an LG C4 series. The second issue was the return of the TV, we purchased the premium delivery that included unboxing and hauling away the box. Without a box the return was an absolute nightmare. There is a HUGE DISCONNECT when trying to deal with Amazon heavy package services. I spent HOURS on the phone and chat trying to get the TV returned since we didn’t have a box. After all of that when they did pick it up, they set the BARE TV on an aluminum hand dolly and literally BOUNCED it across the driveway to the road. I’m sure it was unsellable when they received it at warehouse.

Exceptional image quality
Great TV. Sound quality is excellent. Image is crystal clear. Contrast is intense. Setup was intuitive and easy. Only possible negative could be the reflective aspect of the screen. If the room has a lot of ambient light, you could find that the reflections obscure the picture, but for me, with our set up, it wasn’t an issue.

Awesome tv, questionable delivery
Great tv. Has some options for ps5 that are neat but not necessary to enjoy either. Nice crisp picture, easy setup and menu layout. Sony made yet another great tv. I don’t like that the hired delivery guys didn’t take the time or care to secure the loads in the back of their truck. When they opened the door there was a pile of boxes that had quite obviously fallen over during transit with my $2000 tv on its side (the same position it says on the box to not transport it in) at the bottom with several boxes on top of it. Really?? That’s the best delivery option I get? If this were to happen again I would accept delivery. Based on that, I don’t think I will trust to buy anymore expensive, delicate electronics this way ever again.
