The Essential Vehicle Identification Guide: Waffen-SS Divisions 1939-45 is the definitive study of the equipment and organisation of Himmler's armoured divisions. Organised chronologically by division and formation date, the book describes in depth the various models of tank and other armoured and soft vehicles in service with the fighting SS, with listings of unit commanders, vehicle types and numbers and unit structure. Each divisional section is further broken down by campaign, accompanied by orders of battle, a brief divisional history of the campaign and any specific unit markings. Every SS division that saw combat is featured, from well-known units such as the elite Das Reich and Wiking divisions, to lesser-known divisions, such as the 11th Waffen SS Panzer Division Nordland and the Albanian-recruited 21st Waffen SS Gebirgs-Division Skanderbeg. With information boxes accompanying the full-colour artworks, all drawn to the same scale for easy comparison, The Essential Vehicle Identification Guide: Waffen-SS Divisions 1939-45 is a key reference guide for modellers and military history enthusiasts with an interest in the Waffen SS divisions of World War II.

Highly recommend this title
O.M.G!!! This is an amazing reference work! How could I have missed these gems? It's so good I got the next three instantly! It has everything you need to know about each division, from equipment -and what campaigns they fought in- to organisation (though the organisation charts are not NATO standard but Geeman WWII so need some getting used to!) love it to pieces and an awesome reference book that I am going to get great pleasure out of forever!

Love this series.
I love this series of books. Being able to match a vehicle with its correct division, theater of war, colourscheme and markings is invaluable for modelers.

Excellent illustrations of iconic tanks and armored vehicles
As a lifelong WWII history buff this book is a real treat. The German Waffen ss is one of the best fighting forces in history and gets a bad rap for all the massacres they took part in.

Bien fait mais un goût de trop peu
Livre bien construit et complet. Par contre, les ordres de batailles pourraient être plus précis ce qui justifie les 4 étoiles au lieu du Max.
