Trash! Used it a few times with no problem, until I was trying to cut a lamb shoulder (average size bones) when the blade chipped. Very disappointing for a product claimed to be “Damascus” quality. It’s trash! Even worse, I contacted the company for a warranty claim, sent them all the information required, they denied my claim saying they “couldn’t find my order with the number on Amazon!”. I sent them a screenshot of my Amazon order, still acting like they couldn’t find my order in their records… why is that my problem?! So basically anyone buying their products has to keep in mind they may end up without any type of warranty… which makes it not worth it. I’d rather pay a little (or even more) extra and get a genuine Japanese clever, made in Japan, better than these shady brands that don’t stand behind their products. A complaint will be filed with the California trade department for fraudulent warranty and business practices.

Gorgeously made implement with a full tang, two-tone hardwood handle, and handsome Damascus finish. Not as shallow an edge as you might find on a Japanese santoku-that’s a good thing to keep it from losing its edge if you need to put some force behind it.

This knife is all you need for EVERYTHING you will do in your kitchen. Meat, vegetables, the works! Love it.

Pro: it is sharp, light weight, comfort, and price about $28 which is not too expensive, mid level price. Great for cut meat (not bone) and vegetables. Con: Not great for bone. The blade topper portion look so ugly, surface not smooth.

As a chef, I've used a lot of cleavers over the years and this one is my new favorite. Rarely does a cleaver have the edge for finer work but this one is perfect. It had no trouble at all cutting thin scallions on a bias cut without crushing them. It also did great cutting, slicing, trimming, and dicing peppers and onions. It is much lighter than other cleavers and the handle is very ergonomic and doesn't cause fatigue in the hand or wrist after long use. It cleans up in just a second but be careful because it is real carbon steel and damascus. Definitely recommend this knife!!!

First time use to cut lamb leg and the edge got chipped off. Very brittle and it is breaking apart. Not recommended.

This is my one heck of a meat cleaver and I'm pretty sure it will cut anything. It is Very sharp and has some weight to it. I know it is going to be fun Chopping up brisket soon. Love the look and style of it as well. It would also make a great gift because it comes in a nice box with covers on the blade edge.
