From installation to performance, this system has exceeded my expectations. The water quality is outstanding—crystal clear, with no taste of chlorine or impurities. It’s reassuring to know that the water my family is drinking is ultra-pure and safe. The installation was straightforward, even for someone like me who isn’t particularly handy. The instructions were clear, and all the necessary parts were included. The pre-filter set (Stages 1-3) has excellent capacity and is very easy to replace when needed. I appreciate that APEC’s filters are WQA-certified, giving me peace of mind about the quality. One of the best things about this system is how much money it has saved us—we no longer need to buy bottled water, and the water tastes just as good, if not better! The tank fills quickly, and the system is quiet in operation. Overall, it’s a great investment, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for reliable, high-quality water filtration at home. Review: Providing the best, clean water for my family! - I installed this Reverse Osmosis water filtration system in my home about a year ago. Most people keep their pressure tank and filters under the kitchen sink, but I mounted mine to the basement wall just below the kitchen—so I could save that valuable kitchen cabinet space under the sink. I am a plumber and wanted a fairly priced RO system and this is it! The install was fairly easy, because most of the connections are just push-to-connect with 3/8” or 1/4” plastic hoses and fittings. One caveat I have is that the threaded connections between the three main filter housings were leaking VERY SLOWLY when I first installed everything. I had to turn the water off, remove the filter housings, and apply Teflon tape and pipe thread sealant to the threads between the housings. Then I reassembled and there have been no leaks. We use the clean water for normal drinking water, better water for tea/coffee/espresso, and if someone in our household has a bad cold, we can use the RO water with a Netti-pot to clean sinuses out. Most of the filters only need to be changed every 2 years or more. I wrote a note below the filters with the install date. I also successfully got the 2 year manufacturer warranty confirmed through their website, which is a nice free feature. ## Features - APEC ROES-50 - Offers reliable reverse osmosis water filtration for 50 gallons per day, removing up to 99.99% of impurities and providing ultra-pure, great-tasting drinking water for your home right from the kitchen tap! - 5-Stage Filtration - Long-lasting, large capacity filters remove arsenic, chlorine, lead, fluoride, heavy metals, and 1000+ impurities from tap water while protecting your loved ones from PFAs and microplastics. - DIY Friendly - ROES-50 is made with simple installation and maintenance in mind. We use the same technology as other major bottling plants use to filter water. RO systems purify water daily in your home which is fresher and healthier compared to water that has been sitting in plastic bottles. **Q: How effective is Reverse Osmosis filtration compared to other methods?** A: RO is the most convenient and effective method of water filtration. It filters water by squeezing water through a semi-permeable membrane, which is equalse to 0.00000004 inch! This is the technology used to make bottled water. **Q: What is the WQA and what are the benefits of purchasing a certified system?** A: To receive WQA Gold Seal certification, a RO system must be constructed to meet strict public health standards and pass weeks of rigorous testing for material and parts safety, structural integrity, and contaminant rejection performance. **Q: What is the size of the product, and if I move, can I remove the system to bring with me?** A: The dimensions are 17.5"H x 16"L x 5.25"W, and the tank is 11"W x 15"H. This system is very easy to uninstall. Just close the water inlet needle shut off, take off the water inlet tubing, and take off the whole system in 5 minutes. **Q: How often do I need to replace the filters?** A: The filtration process is optimized to protect the RO membrane, so the prefilters (the 3 filters before the membrane) can last between 6-12 months, and the RO membrane & post-filters can last between 12-24 months depending on incoming water quality. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pure Water, Perfect System – 5 Stars! *by J***N on October 24, 2024* I couldn’t be more pleased with the APEC ROES-50 Essence Series 5-Stage Reverse Osmosis System. I don't usually give a 5 start perfect review. This company and system honestly deserves it (so far after 8 months at least). REASON My need was for a home filtration for four people. I was looking for a simple system that is small to medium size for under my compact sink cabinet and not super expensive for initial purchase nor filter replacements. APEC hits all the marks and then some. After install my TDS reading went from 185 down to 22 (with some increase over time to 32 as filters get used)! SUPER EASY I had an existing two-stage filter with a drinking water tap. The APEC kit fit perfectly and came with extra bits that allowed me to also attach an existing secondary line to my ice maker. All the tubing was plentiful and plugged in easily to the filters and other pieces with zero leaks. It all just worked, even drilling into my drain pipe was easy to attach the waste tube with included leak-proof parts. Instructions were simple and easily read with large color images. NICE ADDITIONS I purchased the ROES-50 kit that uses five stages. I later added a sixth stage to re-mineralize because the water was on the super clean-tasting side which didn’t do any favors for my morning coffee brew. APEC offered an easy add-on kit that included the filter plus extras needed to connect and mount. When I received the kit, it was missing the clips for mounting. I sent an email and they immediately mailed me the parts, no questions asked. MANY SALE$ I also signed up for the mail list and am satisfied to see all of the sales they have for replacement filters. There aren’t too many messages either. This system is easily less expensive than those from other manufacturers. Convenient six or twelve month subscriptions bring the price down further. EXCELLENT SUPPORT After about 8 months, I had a pressure problem that turned out to be a silly user error on my part. Before I figured out what went wrong on my end, I emailed APEC for help. They were extremely responsive AND helpful with multiple clear step guides that were easy to follow. In short, I’d recommend APEC WATER products to most anyone. ## Frequently Bought Together - APEC Water Systems ROES-50 Essence Series Top Tier 5-Stage WQA Certified Ultra Safe Reverse Osmosis Drinking Water Filter System with Extra High Capacity Pre-Filter Set Stage 1-3 - ESHIONG NSF Certified 1/4" O.D.
