The best serious lock for weight wheenies
This is the improved version of the Abus 40/130: harder steel, slightly better locking mechanism, but not heavier. The lock will be too small to connect both down tube and rear wheel to the bike rack, but it is large enough for locking around racks and many fence posts. (I would recommend replacing the quick-release skewers on front and rear wheel by pitlocks, or at least a screw version anyway.)The Abus is much better than the Kryptonite Mini (both arms will need to be cut to break it), and really much, much lighter than a full-size U lock, or a Kryptonite New York. Like any U-Lock, it can be defeated with an angle grinder, but at least, it won't be cut any faster than the best full-size lock. The metal is covered by plastic, so it won't scratch your bike. The lock does not come with a holding contraption, but on my bike, it fits around the headtube while commuting; it is light and compact enough to fit into a backpack, too.

Great lock, easy to use
Easy to use, seems very durable. It's exactly what you'd expect from this product.

Strong, light, includes lots of keys
This bike lock is a great balance of security and portability. It's easy to throw in a bag or pocket and I feel better knowing it's incredibly hard to break, especially compared to the Kryptonite locks that are popular around here.

Best balance of portability and security in a compact u-lock
Exactly as advertised, very compact, the best combination of security and portability. Solid, but much lighter than other locks, yet a higher rating than most ubolt locks of the same diameter. Good for locking with the sheldon method as a primary lock. Fits around most bike racks. Seller was prompt and item arrived earlier than promised in excellent shape.

COMPACT LOCK
Compact but still heavy but lighter than larger ones of course. Still leaves the problem of how to transport it as its too heavy to fit in all but the biggest coat pockets and doesn't come with a mounting bracket. I made one in the end out of 2 C clips, screwed on frame upright where drinks holder was and it works ok. Lock operation is smooth as silk, obviously top quality and it comes with 3 keys. Not quite as thick as you think as its covered in 2mm of plastic but would still need a large pair of bolt croppers approx. 3foot long to cut thru it so that rules out all but the pro in the transit van. Its gold rated so your insurance company will be happy you've done all that you can. Just large enough to get round the frame, rear wheel and a post but I also bought a kryptonite cable 4 feet long so that I could secure the front wheel as well as its a quick release. You would need a 6 foot long one to go round both wheels, frame and a post

Five Stars
It was good long time but I used as a second locker.

Light Gold Standard Lock
With similar size and almost as light as the Kryptonite Mini D-Lock but with the advantage of Gold Standard. It is easily carried in the back pocket. The closing mechsnism works very well.

Does what it says on the tin
Very good lock and does everything it says. On the downside a little heavy and not very big, so forget using it for two bikes. Overall though am pleased with it.
