I know this as a subsea tooling design engineer, but I figured I would install it as designed anyway. Sure enough, it leaked between the seal and the threads. The threads should not have been cut into the seal area. That area should be smooth. I remedied this by putting silicone caulk in the threads of the seal area .... where threads should not be. Great design and finishing otherwise, but it gets 3.5 stars for this engineering oversight. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent pop up drain. *by S***N on Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2018* These were excellent quality. Seems like quality chrome and the pop up mechanism is brass. I have had issues with plastic.Note you simply MUST Teflon tape the threads at the bottom. And that where the nut will sit. I did a few inches lol. I also added thin putty lines at the sink bottom and top and bottom of the tail piece that goes to the trap but that may have been overkill. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Easy Install, Just Don’t Follow The Directions :) *by C***S on Reviewed in the United States on February 28, 2021* The media could not be loaded.  This is beautiful and was very easy to install. Thankfully I read the reviews BEFORE I installed it.The instructions say to use the top gasket (the one that goes underneath the sink) one way but don’t do it that way. Flip it over, opposite of the instructions.Due to a lot of complaints in the reviews about leaking I may have gone a little overkill on installation but I didn’t want to have to reinstall it. I used plumbers tape on all of the threads, used silicone caulking between the top piece and the sink bowl, and then used plumbers putty between the previously referenced “upside down” gasket and the bottom of the sink bowl.
