This book has everything a D&D manual should have. I bought this for a family member and they love it, however I can't comment on it's written contents The graphics are good.

So as a D&D nerd, having played the game since the1970's this has to be my favourite edition of the Monster Manual. As a group we got Digital and Physical books and this is just a pleasure to have on the book shelf. Illustrations and quality are very high, and its a weighty tome. If anything like my earlier edition books, including the Player Handbook, and DM's guide it will quickly become one of the most used books I ever own or purchase. Digital versions tie into the D&D Beyond system and that has in game upsides but for reference, and just sheer pleasure of readng this is my go to version.

A must have for D&D. Fantastic art & a shed load of stat blocks. Even if your not a player makes a good read

Overall excellent condition with the exception of some page bending due to humidity and some corner damage due to packaging

It’s the 2024 monster manual, If you want to player as a DM you need it, if you want to play as a player, buy it if you are interested in reading about the different creatures of the game.

There wasn't as much lore as I anticipated (as a new player whose previous closest thing was Mordenkainen's MOTM and who has never owned a Monster Manual). The stat blocks are reasonably well organised and do give some info on the creatures like how they might relate to other subspecies or their habitats.

A great resource for the classic monsters of D&D. Makes DM'ing easier with inspiration for encounters so your players have more fun. The full descriptions are helpful for getting consistent play across multiple encounters and the full-color illustrations are helpful for descriptions. This can also be used as a resource to develop your own monsters and to write them up. The Monster Manual is the ideal companion book for the DM's Guide and worth the investment to take your craft to the next level.
